While it's plugged into your PC/Laptop go to My Computer and locate your player. Right click on it and the format option should come up.

My new LDP 600 player is not turning on.

Did you try formatting it?

If YES, download and update the firmware. It will be fine.

If NO, check if the HOLD/LOCK button is fine and in the right position.

Attach MP31.gif to computer1.gif.
Open explorer and right click the MP3 drive letter.
Choose FORMAT
Next window choose FAT32 and Quick as the options.

Transfered Music to Flashdrive but can not load to another PC/IPO

That happens to me on occasion. Have you tried putting the jump drive into a different PC? Try reconnecting it and being patient. Waiting up to five minutes sometimes helps.

If you're going through a USB hub of any kind (like a port on a keyboard or monitor) then bypass it. Try connecting directly to the machine.

No recognition?

when i plug in my lexar ldp-200 mp3 player, the screen on it says usb connecting, and it detects on my pc (winXP), but it asks for driver, and i do not have it on my pc, and it isnt on microsoft update, please help

Format the player error

Connect the device in Storage Device (USB Mass Storage) Mode and then format the storage disc to FAT
you can use the DOS command:
format X: /fs:fat

This idea came from another tech not me.

Mp3 player displays "no files"

It is likely that the files loaded are not true MP3, therefore the PC -which can cope with WAV and other formats will play them but the player that read only MP3 cannot. Are you sure the files loaded are truly MP3?
