I have seen conditions of poor / missing ground, high humidity and nearby two way radio operation (CB, Ham, Police, Taxi, etc.) cause unattended operation (on and off).Make sure the switch surfaces are clean and dry. Try changing metal switch plates to plastic / nylon (and vice-versa) types.Ensure that the switch is grounded. Before removing switch from box, shut power OFF. Carefully pull the switch from the box and make sure the switch's ground wire is connected to the ground conductors in the box.Ultimately, if you are unable to solve the problem with these true touch dimmers, changing to a rotary knob / slide operated dimmer or even a standard toggle switch should work without incident.I hope this helps and good luck!
