Hello, Kpruetz is almost impossible to find the issue without testing and measure your device because of that problem beginning in the computer, not in the monitor; like firmware, filters or other components, I sorry about that. You have a hardware device or memory module or a part that has gone bad maybe loose or just needs to be changed out. Most likely it will be a memory module or a keyboard or a USB device unplug any of those items then restart the computer and see if the beeping stops.

Also you can remove a memory stick one at a time to see if the beeping stops if it does then you have found your issue. Also unplug the computer from the wall socket and push the power button in for 2-3 seconds this resets the computer to load its defaults. Look for the issue one by one and with the power button pushed after you unplug from the wall and ground yourself by touching the case metal before you touch parts inside the computer. I use latex rubber gloves personally.

Replace and go from there. It is about isolating the problem now to stop the beeping. So give that a try it is nothing that you have done it is the computers method of letting you now something is not working that is all. Thanks for using FixYa! John

upgrade the memory, if the memory is removed and put back in then the pc boots up then the memory has a fault. 256 is very low for this day and age. so is 512mb you really need 1gb or 2. you can by compatible ram for your pc.

if you have win xp as the operating system, take it back and ask for win 10
That is what should have been installed before purchase as win xp has not been supported by microsoft for the past 2 years and is far out dated
take it back anyway and have the computer technician sort out the problems under warranty

The PSU is not the issue. A motherboard will only draw as much power as it needs. If you want to upgrade the PSU then go for it. It will not harm your motherboard, but it may harm your warranty.

Manufacturers only supply mainboard manuals when the mainboard is sold as a stand-alone part. This is so that the system builder can populate and setup the board according to specifications. Pre-built systems use mainboards that are specially designed for the PC manufacturer by the mainboard manufacturer. There is no manual associated with these builds. Some mainboards used in pre-built systems may be very similar to stand-alone models. In those cases, you may be able to use the stand-alone manual. But unless you know who made the mainboard for Lenovo (they did not), you won't find a manual for the mainboard specifically.

I would replace the whole power supply. You don't want to give it a chance to short out the board. If this is a just a run of the mill business machine the power supply should only be around 50.00 or less depending on where you find it.
