Do a manual file search for them first. You can also try a program called Recuva that recovers deleted files.

There is free software available for retrieving deleted items. Important thing is to not add anything to your computer hard drive so as to prevent it from writing over the alleged deleted file(s).

That sounds like a BIOS password. I've never had any luck getting around those.. supposed tricks involving pulling the battery .. or maybe there's a what's called a "dip switch" to reset the bios on it..

okay if your PSU is working than have you checked the other hardware? for example check your MEMORY RAM sticks and check if they are properly in if they are out the pc will not start. also! if the power supply is good than your motherboard should have an LED on it somewere look for it and power it on .. if this LED doesnt turn on than it means it gave out and you need to replace it .. cause of this? maybe a power surge or static or the light went out and came back and it fried it. i hope this helps

Two possibilities: your pc's resolution is not high enough (which means you need to go to the desktop, right click anywhere in the blank area, select screen resolution, and change it to something higher) or, your browser is "zoomed". Hit ALT (the alt key) + V (for view) go to Zoom and lower the zoom factor. I suspect the second is the problem as it's easy to zoom (ctrl+ and ctrl- will do it too).
