Hey everyone welcome aboard i have two programs that ive used thats helped me with the exception of the camera thats alittle more difficult. one is(driver talent) which is available now totally free trial till december 31st i think and it automatically picks up the drivers you need and gives you a free activation number.the second one is (driver booster) which is totally free at no cost but like all programs you can buy in and naturally it will do more .the trialversion of driver talent is (driver talent pro).the camera solution for me is to purchase an after market one that comes with everything and usually a one year warranty. and the cd.hope this helps.wolfmanjack

install the newest vlc player. copy and paste the line below into the url box:

when installing, click on all the file types and install, and it should play the dvd.
i personally would uninstall powerdvd as well, cos vlc plays just about anything i throw at it.

get a total conventer from google convent the vedio i will work. vlc media have have differt stuff or search for vlc media cinventer.

The CD/DVD Driver is an Operating System generic Driver and it can be re-installed from the Device Manager. Please press with Window Logo and the R Keys on your Keyboard to open the Run window, then type devmgmt.msc and press the Enter Key to open the Device Manager. After that, on the Open Device Manager window, please click the "Actions" menu and select the Scan for Hardware changes option. This will re-install the CD/DVD Drive Driver in the Computer.

Make sure the external screen is on when starting laptop. Make sure the laptop is charging (use the recharger). Also try close the laptops screen down (so screen turns off) and click or move mouse. Then open again and see if the other screen is active.

use the onscreen keyboard or an external keyboard to log in to your computer. the issue for your laptop getting switched off automatically could be due to different reason, is your laptop over heating? did you make any changes in the computer?

open command shell (cmd) in administrator mode, run sfc /scannow.. good luck

Try to hold down shift several times and reboot your computer. As soon as you see the lenovo sign shift again till you get to safe mode.. This might allow the monitor to stay on to trouble shoot ...If not you will have to call lenovo.

Replace the fan. The coil in the fan may be damaged.

hi. it sounds as if its over heating. the first thing you should check is to make sure the fan is running and even if it is try to clean out the fan. or it could be that it needs the cpu heatsink paste replacing. go to this link this will show you how to do it. How to Apply Thermal Paste . all this is not to say thats what it could be,its just to say it might be the fault.

this could be a couple of things wrong. 1.i would try another power cable first. 2,can you hear if the fan is trying to run if not then you may need to take it to some one to have a look at it for you.

Sounds like the hardware is failing to me.
