Computer freezes

First of all, if you have two ram modules, try removing one of them. If you have only one, use memtest86, it can test ram for failures. It looks like ram failure to me. But it could be also a hdd problem, try listening for strange sound.

Have you tried running it in XP mode? if not give that a try it is possible that WoW may not have been patched yet to run on windows 7

Lenovo n500 laptop ... mouse pad not working

The mouse pad maybe faulty or the ribbon cable from the mouse pad to the motherboard may not be properly connected. Reseat this cable.
You can connect an USB optical mouse to the laptop. I prefer you use a USB mouse all the time over the mouse pad.

I dont know to use

Hi. First things is you should have a wireless router there or you are at a certain hotspot where there is a free wireless internet access e.g Starbucks. Procedure below:

  • 1 Purchase a wireless router that fits your needs and price range.
  • 2 Follow the router's manual to set up the router and its Internet connection, which will probably require connecting a wired client to the router. Once the wireless router is set up, the wired connection is no longer necessary. However, it's best to leave the wired client connected if it's a separate computer from that on which you're going to set up WiFi. If something goes wrong, you can access the administration interface again.
  • 3 Gather information from the setup process. In order to set up the wireless client, you will need to know the service set identifier (SSID), the Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key and the channel and mode.
  • 4 Boot up the laptop and plug in the WiFi card. This will not be necessary if your laptop has an integrated WiFi card.
  • 5 Install any drivers needed to use the WiFi card. Insert the disc that came with the WiFi card and follow the on-screen installation process. Most discs will trigger a new hardware wizard that makes installation extremely simple.
  • 6 Double-click on the "WiFi Connection" icon. It can be found in the system tray at the bottom of the laptop screen.
  • 7 Click on "Properties."
  • 8 Select the "Wireless Networks" tab.
  • 9 Use the "Add" button at the bottom of the dialog if your WiFi network isn't in the "Available Networks" section.
  • 10 Click on "Configure" when you see your network's SSID in the "Available Networks."
  • 11 Enter your network's SSID and WEP key.
  • 12 Click on "Start," then choose "Connect To" and "Wireless Network Connection." Your computer should now be able to access the WiFi network. If the WiFi network is connected to the Internet, it should also be able to connect to the Internet.

    Logon problem

Log on with another administrator user profile or if you don’t have any other and you are the only user do the following:
    1. Turn off computer
    2. Turn on computer and press F8 while you see the DELL logo
    3. On the Windows Advanced Options select Safe Mode
    4. Open the Start Menu and type Regedit on the Start Search field
NOTE: If unable to boot to OS even in safe mode then boot to WinRE, go to command prompt - type regedit.exe to perform below steps:
    5. Go to the following entry:
    a. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Profile List
    6. There you will find the following information:?ui=1&attid=0.3&disp=emb&view=att&th=1199b59e24dfc199
    7. On the “.BAK” file you will find an entry with ProfileImagePath with the name of the user.
    8. Delete the repeated entry that does not contain “.BAK”
    9. Right click on the other entry and select Rename. Delete the extension .BAK for the original entry.
    10. Exit Regedit
    11. Restart computer.
