I have a DVD 7065,

Hi, this is a common one, you see what has happened is your Audio Record/Sync Pulse pickup head is faulty, this is the head that also "detects" a thing called the "Sync Pulse" now on rented movies they are all "Hard coded" these Sync pules, and are NOT that strong of a signal, to start with, now, when the heads inside the VCR get worn or dirty this problem arises.

This has nothing to do with the Video heads, so cleaning them will have no effect on it.

It is NOT a big job to replace this head. It may also respond to re-alignment or cleaning or both.

Your best bet is to contact http://www.lasonicstore.com/ ask them for a referral to a local authorised repair place. Take your unit to them, and ask them for a "Quote" as to the repair. And go from there.

THE VOLUME KNOB ON MY i931 WILL ONLY INCREASE

If your volume control has no "stops" to it, meaning when you turn the control it continually spins, then the volume control is what is called a "rotary encoder" as opposed to a potentiometer which has a definite beginning and end. The only way to test a rotary encoder accurately is to do so with an oscilloscope. And usually the only way to repair the problem is to have it replaced by a qualified technician. It's not really a job for the home hobbyist. You may have success cleaning it with a contact cleaner that doesn't leave any residue, but don't hold your breath...

How do I recharge the

Hello, You are doing it right! the battery should be charged with in the 24 hour period. There are two things to consider : One, is the possibility that the rechargeable battery has dried(due to wear and tear)and is not accepting the charge or The second possibility is that the power supply isn't working properly, therefore, not charging the battery.
It is possible to know at least if one of the two is working just by operating the DVD player while connected with the AC adapter. Turn the DVD on and play a disc, if the unit operates, this eliminates a defective power supply and only leaves a defective battery pack, if it doesn't work than consider the power supply defective and repairs are due. As to where to buy a replacement part is for someone else to answer. Good luck!

Hi, I bought my Lasonic

Sounds like its blown. If you bought it in the U.S. and tried to use it in the U.K. then you may have inadvertently fried the system. The U.S. uses 115 Volts AC and the U.K. user 240 Volts AC. If you plugged it in to the U.K. power with out a voltage reducer the radio received 240 volts of raw power instead of its required 115 volts it was built to handle.
Is possible a locale repair shop may be able to save it by replacing it's internal volta-pack, but it won't be cheap.
Hate to hear that happened to you, this is a great sounding radio! Don't feel bad this happens all the time as not many people know about the voltage difference between countries.

Will not turn on, i know there is music on there.

Hi

Try and reset the player by inserting a pointed object inside the small hole, press and hold for 5-10 seconds to let the player reset. If this doesn't work then connect the player with the computer and let it charge for a while. Now go to control panel-> administrative tools-> computer management/system management-> storage, check if you are able to see the mp3 player here. If it is visible then try a reset and try again. If not then reset the player while it is connected with the system. This will resolve your issue.

Hope this helps...

Batt will not charge, i bought a new one and it

Hello,

That simply shows the fault is not from the battery.

Have you checked if the charger is working fine?, first check if the charger is working fine by testing it on another lasonic pdl305 portable dvd player to see if it is working.

If it does not work then you have to replace the charger.

The next thing to check is the charging port, to test this, try to use a tested ok charger on it to see if it works.

If it does not, then you can tell it is the charging port that has a problem. All you have to do is replace the charging port.

That is How you detect the fault and fix it.

Take care

I clearly have the correct batteries, but it won't

The battery wire inside the boombox could have come loose or there is corrosion on the battery terminals.

If you want to program all your available channels to fill the first available programs on your tv you can do that in the menu.
