How to disassemble to clean a lasko blower fan Type DNT ( it's a desk top)

first, unplug it. then inspect it - find the screws, identify the type screwdriver (phillips - common, torx, less common) remove the screws on one piece at a time, disassemble. clean. (hint, use vacuum cleaner). putting it together again would be the reverse process, although you already know what type screwdriver head you need.

I am currently using a Lasko 5812 heater. The problem is it keeps shutting off, especially in the high setting. How do I fix this?

SAFETY FEATURES 1. A Tip-Over Switch is built in to prevent operation if the Heater is tipped over.2. A thermal overload protector is built in to prevent overheating.3. If an overheat temperature is reached, the Heater will automatically shut off. It can only resume operation when the user resetsthe unit.To Reset Heater:1. Unplug the Heater and wait 10 minutes for the Heater to cool down.2. After the Heater has cooled down, plug the unit into a 120V~ electrical outlet and follow the operation instructions describedin this manual. TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, one of the above-mentioned safety features may have been activatedto prevent overheating.1. Be sure the power cord is plugged into a working electrical outlet.2. Check your heater for obstructions blocking air flow and remove them.3. Make certain the Heater IS NOT FACING a wall or large object; this may restrict the air flow.If you have a problem that can not be resolved by the steps listed above, contact Technical Assistance at 800-233-0268, Monday throughFriday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm

How to replace the over heat switch on a lasko 5622 heater and how to tell if this why heater shuts down after 5 minutes . I have cleaned heater and it still shuts down

Bench test. With heater tore apart, energized, a volt meter connected across the sensor will indicate a voltage when it opens. take note of aproximate temperature and compare with the sensor temp rated value. It takes a bit of skill to trouble shoot, repair, and put it back together. Toss it out if in doubt.

I have a lasko 5622 heater that cuts off after 5 minutes, what is wrong and how to repair

Either the Overheat switch, or perhaps the Tilt switch is shutting down the unit. Make certain there is nothing in front of the unit. Make certain the unit is flat on the floor.

Portable Heater keeps turning off

I just fixed my Stanley Lasko 675900 FOR GOOD and would like to tell the world how to fix it!

1. Remove the front plastic grill. The bolts are torx heads with a center pin. You may be able to find a torx head driver with the center pin but I improvised. I Used a dremel tool with a small rounded diamond bit to grind the center pins out of each screw so I can use a standard torx head driver on the screws.
2. Remove the heating element. These should be Phillips screws.
3. Blow out the dust from the back side of the heating element. (be careful with the fragile fins)
4. put it all back together and it should work just fine.
5. (optional at your own risk!) I believe the small gadget attached to the top of the heating element with the white wire is the limiter. You can use pliers to slide the unit out of the element and either move the unit further toward the center area, or cut the device out completely with wire cutters and then splice it back together. If you do this REMEMBER TO CLEAN THE BACK OF TH HEATING ELEMENT EVERY MONTH TO PREVENT A DUST FIRE!

I hope this work for you and good luck!
