Assuming that your new battery is the correct type for the camera and that it is fresh/fully charged, your problem may be due tocorrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

You did not mention the camera name and model.

I have the drivers and the original CD. I have it installed successfully on XP but am having troubles with it loading on VISTA. The drivers load, but it seems to take forever unloading the pics, I run out of patience before it actually performs the job.

If the only reason you need the driver is to download your pictures, you can use a cardreader to accomplish this.

If the drivers came on a disk with the camera...then no problem...or if you received the drivers from a trustworthy source...like the manufacturer's website your ok.....

Digital signatures are just a security measure to make sure the source of the driver is from who it says it is. This just means that Microsoft hasn't issued a digital signature to the Largan device driver....so Windows can't verify the driver was made by Largan...and can't therefore guarantee they will work like they are supposed to.
