Lanier Answered Questions & Fixed Issues

There is an intermediate rubber roller that keeps the unit from "eating" tapes. When this roller gets dirty or shiny then it slips and the unit will eat tapes. It needs to be cleaned with a q-tip and some alcohol. It runs between the flywheel shaft and the take-up spindle. You should be able to clean it if you take off the bottom cover.

This unit most likely has a broken rewind/fast forward rubber belt. This is a very common problem and is easily fixed if you can acquire a new belt. Any place that services Lanier equipment should be able to easily fix this problem.

Look under the front of the unit and there is a tel ans switch this must be on to enable the unit to answer the call

If you want to record somebody 3-4 feet from you then use the dictate mode. If you want to pick up voices in a large room then use the conference mode, it increases the microphone sensitivity to the maximum level.

Come into test mode, if it comes back the fuser service needed. -Carl

Its the brown belt thing on the right door, take off the 2 springs and remove the belt assy and empty, very messy...-Carl

Open the front door, lift the clam shell open and carefully replace or empty the white used toner container. Replace and turn the blue knob clockwise a few times.

Simply touch the desired tray on the touchscreen before copying.

The LD-620 appears to be a Ricoh Aficio MP-C2051 or C2551. You should be able to find a parts list on the net. Whichever one looks the same as your lanier (who don't make anything) will be the one. Good luck

Hey there "Lanier" do you still have the Hiccups ? if so, I will tell you how to get rid of them in 30 seconds. get a medium size glass (10-12oz) fill it to about 1" full from the top, now while standing up, drop your head down put the glass to your mouth so that your trying to drink off of the opposite side of the glass than you normally would, so that your chin is actually in the glass and so the bottom of the glass is going back towards your chest, now as you slowly bend forward from your waist, start drinking the water out of the glass, (its like your trying to take a drink in the opposite fashion that you normally would) . Now you might spill a little but its ok, you only need to drink a small amount of water, now when your bent over and have had a few swallows of water, keep your head bent down for 10 seconds or so and now stand back up and pour the rest of the water down the sink because your Hiccups are gone. Here is why this works, (it's actually a biological plumbing thing) the " Hiccups " are nothing more than an air bubble in your digestive system, so by bending over and drinking the water in this fashion, it lets the water run into your system and the air bubble to escape over the top. ( BTW my dad taught me this trick in 1965 and I've cured a million cases of Hiccups, plus I've won a lot of money in the bars showing people how to do this ). You can thank me later...

Very, very common issue on these normally related to a problem in the toner hopper assembly itself.

after refill the toner may be bias charging roler is not proper fiting or toner cartridge is not proper insert

SC302: Charge Corona Output Error 3 - Grid Voltage error - Charger Roller Current Leak.

I would suggest replacing first the charge roller and if that doesnt fix it, the HIgh Voltage Supply Board.
