Try removing the toner cartridge and gently cleaning the electrical contacts for the sensor. Sometimes they get toner residue on them and give false readings.

Are you looking for how to clean the TD sensor???? I'm not sure what a ID sensor is??? The TD sensor is above the transfer belt unit. You will have to remove the 4 drums & transfer unit and clean the inside area of the copier. Good Luck

You can set your print job to print with no color. When you go to print, there should be an options / settings tab. click that and set it to print black and white.

Press the telephone button first with one finger and immediately after you press that button press the rewind button, The unit should go into rewind and erase should be flashing on the digital display. When the unit starts rewinding take your finger off of both buttons, if you keep them on ,then the unit will rewind and stop erasing .

its a moisture issue in the paper. try nice new dry paper and i bet it works fine

Try cleaning the polygon motor found in the laser unit, maybe you need the service manual. The motor must not rotate for lack of cleanliness. Good luck ...

Eenter in the service mode press yellow key - 107 - red key(stop) keep press for 5 seconds,enter in the SP mode open the front door,turn OFF the main switch,wait 15 seconds close the front door,turn ON the power switch.

Ours Lanier 5618 has a network adapter , finally succeeded to setup via it by : "add printer wizard" , after choosing 'Standard TCP/IP Port' ; we choose " Ricoh Generic Network Printer " instead of "Generic Network Card" at 'Dvice Type' .......

Hi Dwayne:This error occurs when performing the white level detection. Check: a - The white board on whether or not this position b - Glass and Optical c - UBS Card - (card may be faulty) d - BICU Card (may be faulty) e - Check the optics and connectors to the cards. This unit most likely has a broken rewind/fast forward rubber belt. This is a very common problem and is easily fixed if you can acquire a new belt. Any place that services Lanier equipment should be able to easily fix this problem.

Why did you change the fotoconductor Unit???? This part of the machine is to create the image.
Your problem is in the tray. Meaby a broken switch. Take out the all tray and look inside to see if there is same obstruction.
If you do not see anything i advise you to call a Tech.

Dont waste more money if you dont know what your doing. This is the best advise i can give you.

If you say that you see old ghodt copies the problem is with the Fuser Roller in the Fusing Unit.
If this is right i advise you to call a Tech (if you do not have the skills to change it)

I am not 100% sure but i think you can calibrate your touch panel.
Follow this steps:
- Press yellow key.
- On the key pad press 1999.
- Press Red Key five times.

After that you will see the option to calibrate your panel. You just need to follow the wizard.

Could be an error code, is there a number preceded by an sc displayed on the panel?
