I have a Landice L7 treadmill and it will turn on and start moving all by itself without pressing start.

Hello, it is either the control board or the overlay. I would think it is probably the start button on the overlay that is stuck. The solution is to replace the overlay.

Landice L7 Problems. It runs fine until drops below 2 miles per hour and then it stops for 2 or 3 seconds and starts back up for 2 or 3 seconds.

It sounds like you normal routine has made the motor hot and then when you slow down the residual heat is causing the motor to cut out. Check the vents in the motor for fluff or blockage. https://www.google.com/search?q=Landice+L7+treadmill+stopping+at+cool+down ..

My Landice L7 treadmill for home use races to speed when I turn it on. I cannot control the speed, it just increases automatically to top speed.

There could be a few different things causing your Landice L7 treadmill to race to top speed when turned on. Here are some potential causes and solutions:
  1. Motor Control Board: The motor control board may be malfunctioning and sending the treadmill into top speed automatically. If this is the case, you will need to replace the motor control board.
  2. Console Board: The console board may be sending incorrect signals to the motor control board, causing the treadmill to race to top speed. If this is the case, you will need to replace the console board.
  3. Speed Sensor: The speed sensor may be malfunctioning and sending incorrect signals to the motor control board. If this is the case, you will need to replace the speed sensor.
  4. Calibration: The treadmill may be out of calibration, causing it to race to top speed. To recalibrate the treadmill, consult your owner's manual for instructions.
It's recommended to consult with a qualified technician to diagnose and fix the issue to avoid causing further damage or injury.

Noisy Landice Treadmill

It could be the bearings or it could be the brushes are worn out and need to be replaced. normally it would be the front roller that needs to oiled or replaced. I suggest having a fitness equipment repairman come out and see and hear the unit. it cost very little and is worth the investment I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/howard_079189dd4959a511

Landice L8 Cardio trainer giving messages on readout P4 and L5

I've definitely never seen "P4" on a Landice before so I'm not entirely sure on that one. The other issues seem like they might be associated with stuck keys on the console. It's a very common problem if you have it in a humid area and/or it gets sweat on it during the work out. Being that it's a Landice, you should have a part warranty on it. Have you contacted them?

I have had a Landice L8 for many years and it works well. Now it simply comes on by itself. I turn it off and it comes back on. I tried unplugging it but when I plug it in it just comes on again.

is this a home model and did you buy originally? the reason I ask is that Landice home L8 models have a lifetime parts warranty. contact Landice and they will be able to assist you over the phone for free. you either need a new keyboard panel(bad buttons), or a new lower computer board. both easy fixes on a Landice I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/howard_079189dd4959a511

Will not come on. Has power to it. Is there a restart button? a fuse? What?

Hi Hannah. The manual for this treadmill can be found here: http://www.landice.com/sites/default/files/Landice_PST5_Manual%2372116_PDF%203-1-15.pdf What stands out in these instructions is that there is a red, magnetic safety key that must be connected to the panel to run the treadmill (PDF page 4). Also there is a diagnostic mode covered on PDF page 19 that should let you find out if the treadmill thinks it has some other problem. Hoping this helps Good Luck D

How do I calibrate elevation grade for treadmill?

Hey there, sorry to hear you're having an issue with your elevation motor. I would be happy to help you solve the problem. Since you already installed your motor you can go straight into diagnostic mode. To get into Diagnostic Mode on your L8 Make sure to turn off your treadmill. -ET's - Press Menu and Start at the same time -CT's - Press Manual (or Display^) and Start at the same time -All other L SERIES mills - Press Display (or display and Start at the same time SideNote- -*CT's that were manufactured after 09/2003 - Press Display and start at the same time. Few things you want to do, if you haven't already. A. Align the motor with the clevis mount and install the motor mounting pin. B. Insert hitch pin. C. Reconnect the elevation harness to the lower board D. Set the lowest limit switch by holding the UP elevation button for 5 seconds. Then press and hold the DN elevation button one more time to make sure you only hear a click. E. For L7/L8 machines; Thread the elevation nut to where its flush with the threads on the "worm' shaft. F. Mount the elevation nut to the leg assembly by lining up the holes on the leg assembly. You may have to move the leg assembly so that the holes on the elevation nut line up. Then slide the two elevation pins through the elevation assembly and into the elevation nut. then secure the pins with the 2 set screws. To calibrate your potentiometer you can try to adjust while it is installed but for best results you must calibrate it before its in your motor housing. G. Calibrate the elevation potentiometer and to do so you must; 1st: Visually confirm treadmill is leveled. (0% grade) 2nd: Adjust the settings as follows; All L SERIES millls should read 0.0 3rd: If the setting is incorrect, follow these steps. Step 1: Turn the post of the potentiometer all the way CLOCKWISE. Step 2: SLOWLY turn the potentiometer COUNTER CLOCKWISE until the setting is correct. H. Carefully install potentiometer into the motor housing *NOTE: The setting may vary when inserting the potentiometer into the motor. As long as the change is minimal, fine adjustment can be achieved by rotating the meter while inside the elevation motor. I. Press OFF to turn treadmill off. Then restart the machine in manual mode to TEST elevation after resetting your potentiometer. As long as the change is minimal, fine adjustment can be achieved by rotating the potentiometer while inside the elevation motor. For more Diagnostic features and possibly further detail, I will be attaching a Link to your machines service manual. I hope this helps, always hear to help.
