All I can say is the fall broke a part loose inside, take it part and look to see what that is or just live with it if it works ok.

not sure if it will help, but try setting upnp active in your windows services. seem to remembrr my network assistant not being able to see my lacie network drive due to this in the past

You have a bad connection or break in the wiring. Fix that and your monitor will work properly. Could be the wire itself or the plug you use to plug into.

Yes you can, just open the drive and start deleting data.

Try plugging in the Hard disk to some other power outlet, if it still does not power on , you may need to replace the drive. Sometimes, the problem maybe with the connector that is used to connect your hard disk to the main power supply. Check this cable with some other Hard disk to make sure there are no problems with the cable. If this also does not work , try getting a replacement (Incase your product is still under warranty).

sounds like a job for the admin folks to solve. could be that an upgrade to one of the software products pushed the compatibility of your pre existing network configuration. That does happen at times..

Just take the hard drive out the caddy and use it in another caddy. It will be easier and cheaper than fixing the caddy.
