can you update the player in the settings via the internet?

You must make input setting of TV match the input you are connecting device through.

hi,exactly the same problem here. I could suppose its a firmware problem because it happen with or without the hard disk. I also checked "stand alone" the hard disk and it works properly.I'm trying to find if its possible to start an automatic firmware reloading from an external USB pen connected to box.

sounds to me(pun intended) that the driver for HD TV is corrupt of missing what is hd unit you have and what pc are you using

You should not be getting problems using RCA connection or HDMI connection. The blinking problem occurs if you have loose RCA connection at the back of the lacie going to the TV. Replace the RCA cable if connections are intact and still you are experiencing the problem.

1. Disconnect all cables from the device.
2. Press and hold the "reset" button (located on the rear panel) for about 10 seconds.
3. Wait for the device to restart and initialize. This may take several minutes.
4. Reconnect the cables to the device and try accessing it again.

Check the data recovery programme used for an idea or start again now you have your data back by re initialising and formatting the drive as a new one.

Depending on your OS, use your disc utility and see if it has been initialised or not. If not initialise it and then you can format and use it as normal.

U should test for power at the connector that goes into the lacie with a voltmeter to make sure power supply and its wire are OK. If no voltmeter then use a automobile brake or turn signal bulb to see if it has power.
