The Left Side speaker unit(driver) of the headphone is different from right side. left side has more connections and soldering points, main cable goes to left side and chances of oxidization is more, because of cable movement(if cable goes to both sides of the headset, than it damages the side where cable movement is high). try to carefully open the headset and check the connectivity with multi-meter, If it is cable problem then trim the cable and re-solder. Or as you told you have 4 pairs, and you have broken ones. swipe the speaker unit (drivers). Besides both left and right drivers have different connections, it is possible with little soldering knowledge. hope you got it. thank you
The person on the other end can hear me clearly
Hi,
There is no separate driver for the headphones.The audio driver which is installed in the computer is enough.Please check whether you have correctly inserted the jack.That will be the only problem for it.
There will be three jack socket behind the PC CPU.Blue,Green, and Red.
Green for speakers/head phones
Red for MIC
Check whether jack are correctly installed.
thank You
No sound, nor able to talk on mic.
Maybe you have a lose or bad analog connection to the headphones, however my husband got a refurbished wireless game controller that I found to have a lose and dirty plug and the headset was fine after I took the controller apart, gently reconnected to post and cleaned it out with alcohol and q-tips just like you would use for a computer mouse. Hi and welcome to FixYa,
To my understanding, the Labtec LVA7330 is a microphone with a head gear; it is not a combination headset with mic. This is the reason only 1 connector, the pink that goes to the mic jack. To hear the sound, an separae speaker system must be connected to the Realtek soundcard/ computer.
If a speaker system is installed, then it would be a matter of configuration of the Operating System's Sound Devices:
- enabling Microphone in the Mixer;
- verifying it is not muted;
- rasing the mic level.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa

Hi
This is a microphone, a head microphone with no speaker. This microphone will only take your voice you won't hear any sound with it.
Please turn on your speakers or turn up the volume. do you wish to hear your own voice from the computer played back in real time? or are you trying to use this with skype or what?
