Step 1: Insert 2 fresh AA, batteries into the TX29U-IT sensor according to the polarity marked in the battery compartment. Step 2: Insert 2 fresh AAA, Alkaline batteries into the wireless thermometer according to the polarity markings. YES! I also have the same issue - I ASSUMED that it was the RED LASER BLINKING behind the PROJECTED time (on the wall/ceiling), but a different brand with a similar problem was described as actually a PROJECTED RED LED, NOT A LASER. In either case, still not sure what the problem is. ;( To RESTATE the ISSUE for NEW READERS: These digital alarm clocks (with AutoSet through radio signals) project the time in red color on the wall or ceiling. HOWEVER, after some time, the PROJECTED RED TIME begins to flash or blink INTERMITTENTLY - this is NOT a setting issue. The flashing/blinking projection is totally intermittent, occurring every 0.5 to 6 seconds, randomly, leading me to believe it COULD be broken/cracked soldering contact points (which presumably could be fixed by resoldering those contact points on the circuit board), OR perhaps some issue with the internal chip (which would NOT be fixable by a DIYer, I would assume). ANY THOUGHTS?? Thanks!

Mine does that. i just select another time zone that has correct time and forget it, it is not a big deal.

It doesn't appear to be a well known make. One person makes these and sticks a badge on it for the seller. La Crosse is the brand leader, so I moved your category from Audio Players.. Remove both the battery in the sender and the home unit. Insert the outside unit and then the inside unit. Make sure the inside one is new. If that one is at all low, it won't pick up the signal.

This is the model with the exposed button on the right side. The back does not come off, but the front does! If you use a loop you may be able to see a notch between 7 and 9 O'clock. Be very careful because the gasket keeping the watch water resistant is right there. You do not want to harm it. I put the watch in a holder and place a very thin jewelers screw drive on the side. With a jewels hammer I tap lightly until the front comes off. You must then carefully remove the movement from the case and not touch the hands. In order to close the watch after battery replacement, a watch press is a must. Without the press, you won't get the watch closed. The manufacturer suggests taking the watch to a qualified professional. You can send it to the manufacturer as well and they will change the battery for you. The Manufacturer is La Crosse Technology in La Crosse Wisconsin.

Manual doesn't help. I changed the battery but the watch is still not powering up.

You are using a wireless system that transmits signals between the outdoor sensor and the indoor receiver. They are not a perfect match. You cannot make adjustments, thus if your lucky, the factory matched up the devices prior to the sale. You may contact Lacrosse for a replacement outdoor temperature device.
