Yes a new piston and a rebore of the cylinder if that is the problem. You will need to tear it down to inspect what caused the problem.

Use a numbered drill set, measure the jet size using the drill bit set, then select a drill bit two numbered sizes larger and drill out the main jet, that should get you in the ball park. A clicking starter solenoid is usually caused by a discharged or defective battery. I would charge the battery and check the connections. The battery voltage should remain above 10 volts WHILE CRANKING.

Hi tighten the axle nuts ...if this does not help loosen axle nuts jack it up tighten nuts & when on the ground tighten them again, cheers

Actually it looks interesting, however one reviewer said its not Chinese but Taiwanese. That is the part of China that has separated itself. As far as I am concerned the machine is still of a chinese extraction and seeing as many yamaha parts come from Taiwan. I shall have to dig deeper!

if the center electrode is burning away, it indicates that the mixture is too lean at high rpms or load check adjust float level , clean out main jet or fit correct jet size if 2 stroke check for leaking crankshaft seals change the heat range of the plug to as cold as possible

Hello P Smurf, Well... don't feel bad...!! The KIMCO drawing is TRASH (in my humble opinion). Just start the engine! - ignition switch on (powers on CDI module) - short B+ 12V to "S" lead (small terminal on solenoid switch = cranking motor (until it starts (or within reason... do not burn out starter)). Really... you can short BATTERY to the starter solenoid... as long as you have the ignition on... It SHOULD RUN (if it can). You only have the REAL two issues you need to start... Fire & fuel... (everything else is mere confusion). IGNORE IT ALL... until you get the engine started...!! I've been reading schematics, circuit drawings, operational diagrams... All of it for more than my adult life... (mere seconds away from 70) amateur radio, patent holder & highly skilled professional... (into full spectrum optics).... I pulled up the appropriate Kymco "drawing"... and while I'll say it is very pretty (colorful) it is also TOTALLY USELESS...!! (top reference below... avoid it!). Whom-so-ever (clown who posted it) that put it together didn't (still doesn't) know their posterior from 75 cents (six bits). I can't even tell if the generator & starter are one-in-the-same (which would be the first place you want to go... Useable VERSION immediately below... Else find the CDI Module/Coil... & replace it (better to get a SPARK test tool...)... I'm just saying Comment me back... every tractor & tiller in the world has the same starter circuit (some just have points & coils in lieu of CDI Modules). I'll be here!!

Alan, You may have to remove rear fairing to access. Link to forum gives a good guide on how to remove tail light. anything that has a plastic fuel tank in it is a common problem 4 leaks !! I've had brand new chainsaws , tractors, and yep even bikes come in here with fuel drips !! its them plastic fuel tanks everytime !! they jjust cant take the chassis flex the ole metal ones could (but then again ive never seen plastic rustout either ) and they get small cracks in them right where they attach to frame most times too !!

Hi Shannon: Possibles: - Needle valve has been compromised, possibly held open with grit. Carefully dismantle and blow out all orifices with compressed air. - Float level set too high. Review the way the float shutoff mechanism works. Make sure the float moves up and down easily and that it still floats as intended. Double check the lever that moves the needle valve. Make sure it is correctly connected to the needle. Reply as a COMMENT to this post to let me know what you find. Cheers.

How old is your battery? Does it have an electric start? Can you give more details about the quad?
