Does he think that someone would come to this site looking for help only for someone to tell him of how the whole OBD system concept works? The question was make and model specific and for a Kubota mechanic to give him advice because he needs advice from someone with experience rather than a text book mechanic! Anyone can google the code and determine what code says it is, Help is needed in how to fix it and/or some things to try. WTH??
I have a Kubota T1460 mower/ 12.5hp Kawasaki that will not click or start
The smaller gauge wire at the starter is likely the feed to ignition switch BAT terminal. So no surprise that the fuse doesn't blow with it disconnected.
Likely there is a short to battery negative (frame) on any of the switched side circuits.
You need to isolate circuits and find the short. Recommend you use an incandescent automotive test lamp to battery positive and probe circuits. Touch probe to battery negative for relative brightness of a short.
Leave the ignition switch in the off position and probe circuits on the back side of the ignition switch. A bright light is a short, a dimmed light is an acceptable load.
You might first try disconnecting the voltage regulator to see if it's the problem, else troubleshoot with test lamp.
