Most likely you received this message after a toner was replaced. Reseat the cartridge and restart the printer. If that doesn't work remove all of the toner cartridges manually and reinstall. Turn off the printer and open the top cover. Follow the toner cartridge all the way to the right side of the printer (on the white part). You should see a hole that looks like a cross. Take a pen or key and push down on the black button in that hole. While you are holding it down rotate the toner cartridge towards you. You want to get the colored roller on the cartridge about 1/2in away from the metal bar that says "consumable reorder". You should be in a position to take out the toner. If you are still getting the error you either have a bad cartridge or the carousel that the toners sit in is damaged.

1. Start by cleaning the sensor.
2. If still no good, check that its location is correct. You need to check that the sensor is located in the mounting bracket correctly, and also check that the bracket is located on the rear frame of the machine correctly.
3. If still no good, replace the sensor PS39.
