How do I remove the plastic insert to access the cartridge on a Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet?
To remove the plastic insert on your Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet, you can follow these steps:
First, turn off the water supply to the faucet.
Next, remove the handle of the faucet by unscrewing the set screw on the underside of the handle using a hex wrench or an Allen key.
Once the handle is removed, you should see a plastic insert that covers the cartridge. To remove this insert, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry it off.
Once the plastic insert is removed, you should be able to access the cartridge.
If you need more detailed instructions, you can refer to the installation manual for your Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet .
I have a Kohler 12RESM1 with OS code
It sounds like you may have a problem with the fuel system on your Kohler 12RESM1 generator. When you start the generator and it runs for a few seconds before stopping, it could be an issue with the fuel supply or fuel delivery to the engine.
There are a few things you can check to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the fuel level in the tank. Make sure there is enough fuel to run the generator.
Check the fuel filter. If it is clogged, it could be restricting the flow of fuel to the engine.
Check the fuel pump. It could be malfunctioning or not delivering enough fuel to the engine.
Check the fuel lines. Make sure they are not clogged or leaking.
If you are unable to find the cause of the problem, it is recommended that you contact a certified service technician or the manufacturer for further assistance.
Kohler House Generator powers up when our electricity goes out but then powers right back down?
That is an engine running issue, not a battery issue. :>D The first thing to check would be fuel supply. Can you start up manually and keep it running. If you can, it is the contactor that senses your loss of mains power and switches the generator on. It is not maintaining the connection, or is is misdiagnosing the power from the generator as power from the mains.

I have a kohler 5E generator has SPARK only on one side
Kohler 5e Marine or mobile/Generator??????
working on this lacking a meter and manual. ?
working blind I call it. not good that ever. call for help:
it has 2 coils, 2 sparkplugs 2 HV wires to fail, (1 of them)
and 2coil igniter
we use and ohmeter to the bad coil.
primary is of coil (ignitor end) is about 5 to 12ohms. (infinity bad)
secondary coil is high ohms 1000 to 10000, par, infinty bad.
the HV lead is used to measure secondary to coil core metal
the HV lead can fail too. making coil useless.
and last a bad ignitor ,
the 2 coils are same P/N so can be swapped and if failure move to other plug, bingo for bad plug , otherwise bad ingnitor box.
