Hi, I had the problem on an Omega DW420XA. There are 3 things you need to do before starting on the whole replacing parts palava: 1. Detach the exhaust pipe (usually a grey crinkly pipe) from the sink u-bend. Stick a screw driver into the ubend connector and make sure there is no gunk there blocking it up. 2. Remove the filters at the bottom o the machine and give them a good clean. Stick your fingers into the sump where the water collects and get every last little piece out. You may have to twist your finger into the space around the impeller. 3. Pull the dishwasher forward from under the bench and tilt it forwards. Some water may run out, but this is causing the sensor to think it is not discharging. Note you may have to free the power, inlet and outlet pipes from getting stuck as you pull it forwards. With any luck it will now run (mine did).

If it is a high efficiency dishwasher, similar to my Bosch, you have to make sure to add the rinsing agent, such as Jet Dry. These washers will never dry off the dishes without that rinse agent. In addition, I find that the best cycle is actually the shortest cycle. I get a much better results from the 50 minute cycle than I do from even the 2 1/2 hour cycle.

How to find appliance model numbers

<p>When trying to troubleshoot or purchasing parts for your appliance the model number is the key to doing so. Each model may have different part numbers and or different troubleshooting techniques. They may also have a different service manual. The model number that is on your customer manual is just a generic copy of many models that exist and can not be used for the information that is needed.<br /> <p>Below you will find a video procedure that will show you how to find your entire model number. You can bring it up in either picture or video format.<br /> <p>For finding your appliance model number Click on the link <a href="http://www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Parts">http://www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Parts</a><br /> <p>Just to the right of the "<b><i><u>search</u></i></b>" tab click on "<b><i><u><span>help me find my model number</span></u></i></b>"<br /> <p>Just click on the model of your choice In either video or image<span> </span>presentation<br /> <p>Please consider giving us a 4 thumbs up for our procedure.<br /> <p> <b><i><u>Thank you for using FixYa!</u></i></b><br /> <p> <br /> <p><img src="kdrake84_0.jpg" /> <img src="kdrake84_1.jpg" /><br /> <p> <br /> <p><span></SPAN><span><br></SPAN> <p>

That is a water inlet fault. If the tap under the sink is turned on and everything else seems OK then the inlet hose/valve will need to be replaced by a technician

That is not found as an error code in the user manual. The manual says to call customer care if a symbol pops up that is not listed in the manual. This is a Westinghouse dishwasher serviced by Electrolux. Here is a page which may be of assistance in contracting Electrolux.

Here is a troubleshooting page (but it does not identify the code):

Here is the user manual:

You might in the comment file add what the P stands for if you contact Electrolux. I do not find an explanation on the web.

Well, this was very long-winded. If it works when filled manually, then check the stopcock for the water flow and open it more if not all the way. If this does not work, try the water pump in the back/bottom of the disher
