When filled with water, the tub edges pull away from the tile, installed per manufacture's direction, is this normal?

No, it's not normal. I suspect you missed one of the early steps in the installation. The bottom of the tub needs to be fully supported. We often use mortar to set the bottom of the tub so it doesn't move. If you did that, the whole floor may be sagging under the weight. We see this sometimes in houses built to minimum code.

I would like to replace a kohler toilet seat bought in 1975 and it is a harvest gold. Do they still make them?

Harvest Gold? Do you still have avocado appliances as well? Actually the advise to call Kohler is spot on. I highly doubt they have it. I would keep an eye out on EBAY for vintage products and you may be lucky. If your sold on the color you may spray paint a standard one and then clear over the top to protect it.

What is the name for those round parts on the underside of a toilet seat? What if one is broken?

You are going to have to replace the entire seat more than likely. Never seen one that you could replace those stand off's. Hope this helps!

The water runs when I turn the main shutoff back on even though the faucet is off

A grommet seal has disolved. You need to turn off the water main and replace or rebuild the affected shut-off valve or faucet. Use a Monkey wrench. .

Sewer smell drain

are there any floor drains in the room and an unused bathtub or shower? if so the water may have evaporated from the trap and allow the sewer gas smell. try pouring water into all the drains and see if it is still happening. more elaborate problem may be a broken vent stack in a wall.
