Hi.

The solution depends on your graphic card. There are graphic adapters that do not support less than 1280 x 1024. In that case you will really need to replace the monitor.

Try setting the screen resolution from safe mode (see: Change your screen resolution)

If the resolution is restored to 1280x1024 after you set it manually, then you will need to replace the monitor because it is not compatible with the computer. There is no way out as that is the way the technology market works nowadays. Upgrading equipment is a must, not an option.

Regards.

This is a 1024x768 native, analog-VGA monitor.

Any standard VGA (D-sub) cable/chord will do.

The text and pictures on my Kogi monitor are too

Sounds like your monitor isn't set up at the correct resolution.

If you're running Windows, go to your Control Panel and into Display > Screen Resolution.
Try setting it to 1024x768 or higher.

This is the cord you're looking for. It's the same as the power cord for PCs. Only difference is the right end of the cable as that depends on which country you are in. You should be able to grab one of these at your nearest PC shop.

You do not need the driver to get the picture on the screen, if you do not driver installed, the computer may not be able to display the native resolution setting, but it will not cause you not to have picture. I do not install any special driver on my monitor testing PC, otherwise I will not be able to fix any monitors.
You should try it with another PC.
If it is montior problem then:
If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Driver win 7

This company does not make a specific driver for Win7. But it should still work. Recheck your your video display adapter driver. Start by setting to the lowest resolution and try also 60hz refresh speed and then work up from there.

My moniter will not turn

Power is "spitting back". In effect, not completing a circuit due to internal damage in the monitor. Try looking to see if the power socket on the monitor is loose, looks burned or worn. Check the DC adaptor to see you are getting the right voltage. If you are, and there is no wear on the jack socket, the power capacitors have gone in the monitor. If the jack IS worn, youmay be able to get it replaced fairly cheaply
