Kodak c182 camera will not turn on
Hi
Please see the suggestions below which hopefully get the camera working again
1. Have you tried a fresh set of alkaline AA batteries? If so have you tested these batteries in another device so you know they are good?
2. Have you checked the battery compartment terminals and battery bay door terminals are free from corrosion?
3. Check all the buttons on the camera to ensure they are moving freely. If some dirt gets jammed into one of them it can make the camera think the button is being pressed and it will not allow the camera to switch on.
I hope one of these suggestions helps to get the camera up and running again.
My Kodak C913 did not start. I use new Batteries
There are two possibilities, one not so bad and one not good, at all.
The first thing to try is to clean the battery terminals in the camera. This can be done by CAREFULLY scratching them with a small flat screwdriver, tweezers or similar to remove any corrosion or film. Contacts can look clean, but still not connect.
The other problem, which you will not be able to repair yourself, could be the main fuse or a capacitor within the camera. That requires special technical skills to repair, including taking the camera apart and working on micro-electronics.
Restore deleted pictures
If the pictures were on a memory card and you haven't done anything with the card since you deleted the pictures, you have a chance to recover at least some of them. Do a Google search for "data recovery software" and select a program appropriate for your computer and operating system. Put the memory card into a card reader connected to your computer and run the program.
