The lamp just stopped working. Have had for
You can re-wire it yourself. Here is how:
Disconnect the lamp from the wall outlet. Then use a knife to pry off the protective covering to give access to the wiring in the base of the lamp.
Use a wrench, or pliers to remove the nut that secures the long, threaded tube to the base of the lamp. Most lamps will contain a lead weight; remove this from the base as well.
Pull the tube part way out from the top of the lamp. Unscrew the socket from the tube by turning it counterclockwise.
If you are renewing a cord, cut the old cord to make dismantling easier.
Remove the outer shell of the switch socket by pressing at the base and pulling it straight up. Slide off the cardboard insulating sleeve to expose the socket's screw terminals.
Unscrew the two wires on the terminals. If you are replacing the switch or socket, fit the wires onto the new unit in the same way they were attached to the old one.
If feeding a new wire and plug, feed the wire through the lamp base and threaded tube. Connect the wires to the switch or socket. Reassemble lamp in same order that it was dismantled
Some lamp models have a harp which must be removed before further dismantling remove by pressing the two bottom arms together. Some lamps are held by finger nuts.
Some sockets and switches have metal shells which are removed by pressing at their base.

Can I turn the lamp
I think you still have to push the button even if the power switch is on just to kinda get everything started, It will turn on the light & any neat movement &/or sound effects that it makes will happen & if it's anything like my daughters lamp that's similar to this, if you push the button a second time, music and sound will happen again but then the light will shut off. I'm not positive that i'm correct & apologize if i'm wrong but my daughter has a Disney dancing princess lamp & thats how it worked. It also had a switch to turn on or shut off the sound so i hope I helped somehow now that i've written a novel that should have been 1 or 2 sentences. Sorry
Transmitter does not work
try replaceing transmitter, and check inside first to see if you have a broken wire or bad connection.. If not replace handset..
I have a Vizio TV
For the InVoca 3.0 I used a Goldstar TV code for a Vizio TV.I'm not sure what the 3 digit code was but you can search Goldstar codes on theremote shown in the manual with a 2 digit code 33. You also can train it fromyou remote but I did not try that method. They might have different manualsbecause my manual has more instructions than the online version one.
