KitchenAid Professional 5 Quart stand mixer grain mill won't grind?
From what I know about these and industrial Hobart mixers is that where drive gears are on a shaft they are held by a shear pin that goes right through the gear and the shaft. They are made to shear if the grinder or planetary head is strained. It shears the pin instead of damaging the motor or shredding gears. When they do shear, there is often enough friction to turn the attachment, but not enough force under load. I see two shear pins in this diagram 19/8 and part 14/8. The diagram also show the orientation of bevel gears.

Hi, Kitchenaid kbfc42fts interior controls and lights blinking no alarms
If the interior controls and lights in your KitchenAid KBFC42FTS refrigerator are blinking but there are no alarms or error codes displayed, it may indicate a problem with the refrigerator's control board or power supply.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Power cycle the refrigerator by unplugging it from the electrical outlet or turning off the circuit breaker that supplies power to it. Wait for a few minutes and then plug it back in or turn on the circuit breaker.
- Check the refrigerator's power supply by ensuring that the electrical outlet is working properly and that the power cord is securely plugged in.
- Check the control board for any signs of damage or corrosion. The control board is usually located on the back of the refrigerator, behind a panel. If you see any damage or corrosion, you may need to replace the control board.
- Check the wiring connections between the control board and other components such as the lights, fans, and sensors. Loose or damaged wiring can cause communication issues and blinking lights.
If none of these steps resolves the issue, it is recommended that you contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to diagnose and repair the problem.

How to convert kitchenaid mixer from 220v to 110v
It's perfectly save to use a power converter from 220v to 110V. The 50Hz Frequenz will let the Motor spin 20% slower. So it'll last forever. I use a KSM90 from the US in Germany for more than 25 years. It runs great and the gears inside it look like new.
No cooling and high pitched noise from KitchenAid fridge
- Check if the fridge is level. If not, adjust the leveling legs.
- Verify that the condenser coils are clean and free of obstructions.
- Check the temperature settings and adjust if needed.
- Ensure that the evaporator fan is working properly and not obstructed.
- Check the condenser fan for proper operation.
- If the high-pitched noise persists, it could be a sign of a failed fan motor or other mechanical issue, and a professional repair may be necessary.
Older Kitchenaid toaster oven blinking blue light won't stop.
It sounds like your KitchenAid toaster oven may be experiencing a malfunction. The blinking blue light could indicate an error code or issue with the oven's control panel. Without more information about the specific model and the exact behavior of the blinking blue light, it is difficult to provide a specific solution. However, you may try unplugging the oven for a few minutes and then plugging it back in to see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, it would be best to contact KitchenAid customer service for further assistance or consult the oven's user manual for troubleshooting tips.
My kitchenaid toaster oven kco253 function control knob will not turn. The other knobs do, but no power light comes on
It sounds like there may be an issue with the function control knob on your KitchenAid toaster oven. If the knob will not turn and no power light comes on, it could indicate a problem with the knob itself, or a more serious issue with the oven's internal electrical components.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the knob for any physical damage or debris that may be preventing it from turning. Clean the knob and the surrounding area if necessary.
- Check the electrical connections for the knob. Make sure that the connections are securely in place and that there is no damage or corrosion.
- Check the power outlet. Make sure that the outlet is working properly and that there is no issue with the circuit breaker or fuse.
- If the above steps don't solve the problem, it could indicate a more serious issue with the oven's internal electrical components. It's recommended to contact the KitchenAid customer service or a professional technician for further assistance.
It's also important to check the oven's warranty status and the manufacturer's instructions to ensure that the repair or replacement will not void the warranty.
Keep in mind that troubleshooting and repairing electrical appliances can be dangerous if you are not familiar with the proper procedures. If you are not comfortable with performing the troubleshooting yourself, it's best to contact a professional technician for assistance.
