My King Kooker 8In thermometer broke. Is it worth me fixing it?

You can get a new one for around $10 - $15. When mine broke, I decided it was just safer to buy a new one.

Are King Kooker deep fry thermometers hard to use?

It's not hard to use them as long as you follow the instructions for safety. Here is a youtube clip for a deep fry thermometer - it's not a King Kooker make but it works the same way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN_LSlnDcoA

Gas is not going through

The regulator valve is sticking. Mine does this all the time. I tap it a few times and it frees up usually. It will need to be replaced one day.

King kooker will not burn a blue flame, only a big yellow sooty

You may need to resize the orifice, sounds to me like it is too big. If you have an adjustable orifice try tightening it down a quarter turn at a time till that flame turn pretty. Leave that shutter wide open till you start getting a blue flame. Make sure you have no cob webs blocking the orifice.Blow out and remove all rust from the burner.
