Plug timer in for 1 hour to charge battery...
Or if timer has battery located on back of unit, install battery.

Once battery is operable you can unplug timer from wall and program the timer while holding it in your hand.

Kichler PLUG-IN... | Answered on Mar 13, 2015

If your Kichler ceiling fan appears to have lost touch with the remote, try the usual routine of removing batteries from the remote, pressing all buttons to eliminate a stuck button as the cause, then reinstalling the old batteries (or new batteries) and testing operation. If no luck, disconnect power at the source, not the fan, pause briefly (to "reset" the fan control) and reconnect power to test operation. If still no luck, the remote receiver in the fan or the remote itself may be defective.
