It's actually "VTBD del" which means the "Volume To Be Delivered" has been set and the pump has delivered that much food. Pause the pump (Start/Hold button), then press and hold the VTBD button (below Start/Hold) for 5 seconds. That clears the VTBD.

You can't. It's a safety issue. If the pump turned off automatically the operator wouldn't know if feeding was completed successfully or if the pump lost power.

You need to call the company, they will send a replacement, explain to them this is the second one
