Wont Play Discs

Sounds like you have a mechanical problem, which can range from a bad/broken belt, roller or motor. Inspect & repair the drive train.

If you are not capable of doing that seek professional service.

Good luck. :)

I can hear sound out of the player for the radio but not when i put in a cd I can't hear. I tried with one cd or 5 CDs.

If you have audio from the radio, all of the internal components are working, such as the power amp. If the CD section is not working, a switching relay, or connection may be at fault. If a read head is misaligned, you cannot pick up data from the CD and communicate with the audio out either. If the CD's are CLONES (copies) they too may not work. There are many reasons, and that mentioned are only a few.

Does not spin dvd

Sometimes the brushless motor driver circuit fails. Rarely does the motor itself go bad. On some models, if the the laser diode is too weak to read the disc, the player will not bother to spin it. It won't spin so a lens cleaner disc won't work You can try to take it apart and clean the tiny lens. Don't use alcohol. Windex and a Q-tip works great to remove grease and dirt. Don't buff it hard. Just wipe lightly a few times and look at it at an angle to make sure it is shiny, not hazy. Almost all of these are not an economically viable repair. If cleaning the lens does not help, you are looking at another portable player.
