the coil is getting hot ,i would replace it.

CHECK FAN FUSE,FAN SWITCH,FAN MOTOR /FAN BLADE OBSTRUCTION.

HAVE YOU CHECKED OR REPLACED THE RAD CAP?

flush it. that will fix most cloggs. if still over heats, remove thermostat.

from what you said it sounds like the problem is in the wiring.if they worked befor you rewired them i would recheck the wiring.

Put a pice of leather in that place.....

do you have voltage at your coil wires, have check res. of pulser coils?

Just had same problem. Take carbs off and clean all jets and bowl. Be carful front and rear carb have different sized jets. When you put quad back together put entire airbox together even the cover. This quad will backfire unless air box is complete. I bet you anything your carb is full of trash.

It's not F1 the light is FI F as in Fuel and I as in Injection.
This light should come on for a moment when the key is turned on and then go off.

if the tank is on its side when you take it off, it may be down to the fuel filter being clogged up

hi mate disconnect the cut out switch and try kicking it over if still no spark check connections are pushed together propally there buggers sometimes and push the plug to the cdi in also consider replacing spark plug and try the coil on a different bike and see if it works goood luck

Never mind guys, i figured it out, the valves actually tightened up and pushed them off their seat, no compression, so i got the feeler guages and fixed it, lots more power now:P thanks anyway.

Clean your carburator, incl. bowl and most important the jet located in the rigth side of bowl. Good luck

Check your brake light switches. If they are sticky and the brake lights stay on it won't let you engage the cruise control.

have you checked the air filter, sounds like that may be dirty.

i would recheck wiring at stator.

Hey i had a similar problem a liitle while ago on my yamaha,i disconnected the kill switch wire then i had spark(faulty kill switch)
