A modern hot water pressure washer can have complex circuitry and it is a good idea to read the user instructions and have a diagram for reference when troubleshooting - certainly some dismantling will be necessary to trace the power rather further inside than the power cord. If the unit hasn't been used for a time the pump could have frozen and have overloaded the motor when switched on - there is often a facility for the pump to be turned by hand to unfreeze the pump before switching on.

Which breaker does it trip? The MCB or the RCD? If the former, the motor is taking too much current and that might be caused by shorted turns, a defective centrifugal switch (if fitted) or a shorted start or start/run capacitor. If the unit has been standing for a while it could be the pump is frozen - some units provide access for a hexagon key so the pump can be turned manually a couple of revolutions before switching on the power. If the RCD has tripped it is because there is an insulation breakdown and current is leaking to ground.

In my experience with karcher, and other brands, you will be money ahead to replace the pump entirely. Pumps usually cost around $125. There are some times rebuild kits available, but they will often cost over half the amount of an entire pump. Add to that the unloader valve, & you will be way past the cost of a new pump.

The float in carb is not shutting off suply when the carb chamber full so the fuel is constanly filling the carb this is known as flooding carb either the float needle is mis aligned with the needles seat or theres a object or deris the seat stopping it fully closing off the fuel flow cheak thease the float may also damaged and filling up with fuel this stops it riseing and again the carb floods

If it's new take it back with your receipt and let them fix it.

I have repaired several of those almost every one of them would not build pressure due to the the 3 plungers each one has a small screen a small spring and a small rubber disk need to take them out and clean and inspect there is a repair kit they sale for that power washer that gives you every thing I describe but they are more than likely clogged up be careful taking it apart the parts are very small well lighted room clean floor just in case you drop something

I have one that will shut off pressure when the water supply varies. Check your water tap, make sure all your connections are TIGHT. If not they will suck air and interrupt and pump cycle. Use new hose washers on everything. The engine (mine is Honda) will also buck in response to varying flow demand. It has an auto-close spring/lever to prevent it from overrunning if it loses incoming water. Good luck.
