My Jura ENA3 is about

Hi jwm77uk,

Please try to use the following steps to produce a coffee that is stronger.

1. Use the right coffee.

2. The right temperature. Make sure that the coffee is as hot as it can be. Preheat the cups and the machine (preheat the machine by running some hot water through the lines and making a small shot and then dumping it).

3. The right strength setting. Make sure that you use the strongest aroma/strength setting your machine has to offer.

4. The right grind. Make sure that you use a finer grind for greater oil extraction.

5. The right amount of coffee. Try using more coffee.

6) The right amount of water. Try using less water.

7) Clean the machine. Coffee oils build up in the unit and can degrade the coffee quality over time. In addition, be sure you are descaling your unit regularly. Even excellent quality water, if it stays in the lines for some time, can cause sediment build-up in the lines. Try using the Jura cleaning tablets.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Cannot install tray with ground basket installed,

Try putting a container under the coffee spouts and pressing the rinse button. This will usually free any coffee grounds that may not have been expelled into the grounds basket from the last time the machine was used. The grounds can get stuck and block the slide path of the grounds basket.

Jura j5 keeps indicating beans

Sometimes certain beans do not move freely throughout the grinder. Oily beans, which is not necessarily a bad thing, do not fall into the grinder easily and tend to stick. It is necessary to sometimes to just poke or stir the beans around with your finger to make sure they fall into the grinder. For a safety measure do this while your machine is turned off.

I have problems with my

Machine thinks that there is no water getting to the machine. Majority of the time, this is caused by blockages of coffee in the brew group due to improper cleaning. I'm not saying that you haven't been cleaning it but that is usually the cause. How old is the machine? And has there been a cleaning tablet been put through it every day? Advise removing the brew group and check all pipes are clear, clean all loose coffee and check if you can blow through all of the pipes if you can loosen them. Clean coffee outlet/spout also. If the machines water is fed from a tank, It could also be a small bit of dirt has been pulled through. Hope this helps.

Where do you put the

The long white piece is a water filter. It filters calc (lime) out of the water. It should fit in the water container at the back. Just click it in.

The cleaning pills are not for de-scaling. You should run the cleaning program. To do this open the small lid at the top of the machine, press the P-button until the screen changes (a few seconds). Turn the dial until service is in the screen push the dial and turn until cleaning appears. Push the dial button again. The pill should be put in the coffee powder entrance. If you start the cleaning program it will state when you should do that.
