Jura impressa x7 does not rinse and coffee does not come out. I do get steam for froth etc

Jura x7 coffee machines are older models in the coffee machine range. It may simply require a full system clean, using jura cleaning tablets, or more likely a service. Bean to cup machines should really be serviced every year to 18 months depending on usage. We can put you in touch with a Jura engineer if you need one, contact me here Denby Dale Coffee

The Jura just says Heating UP for a very long time

Probably an internal Element has gone open circuit. Mine did the same thing. Then it wouldn't heat at all. I pulled it apart (with photos) Found the heater element. Found a replacement element after 6 weeks and replaced it in 2 hours. Back to getting great coffee.. Ahhh

I have a Jura Impressa

This is the 2nd time in a month since I've had this machine that I had to call support for the same problem. An easy fix! I was instructed to remove the whole 'drawer assembly' and remove the grounds bucket. Insert the assembly without the bucket. Wait a minute, take it out again and replace the bucket. Then you're ready to go. Hope this helps.

Malfunction 8

I just fixed it. I saw some info from a Doctor in Hawaii who described reaching up inside the machine with some success and this inspired me (Thanks!). I had been getting Malfunction 8 for some time, and letting the machine cool (turning it off) for 15 minutes was the only way to not get the error. It always sounded like it was "straining" to make coffee. It would generally try 3 times to clear itself before the Malfunction 8, I'm sure those with the problem will recognize the symptoms. All the rinse/ decalcify/on/off stuff was temporary. We lived with this for 5 months or so. Finally, it would only get a Malfunction 8, and so became unusable, and we were considering sending it in for repair. This was the second round of Malfunction 8 problems; the first seemed to fix itself for an unknown reason. On to the fix: Unplug, remove the water tank, pull out the bucket and tray, and allow to cool if necessary. Now - smaller fingers are better - reach into the machine, palm up. Feel as far back as you can, then work your way forward, toward yourself. As you move toward you will feel a flat area about an inch wide (measuring front to back). Just back of this (away from yourself), you'll feel a crack about 3/8" to 1/2" wide. Push your fingers up into this area and feel around. You will probably feel stuff that feels like light, chunky rocks. Break these up and they should fall out. Again, small fingers are better and once I got an idea of what I was doing, I described it to my wife and she did it. There is a tendency to not feel far enough back in the machine, so be sure to find the flat place at the lowest point of the mechanism then go just past it and up to find the crack. Pulled out about five crusty chunks of burned, almost charcoal like compressed coffee. I also got about a foot of plumber's tape (the metal stuff with holes in it that's useful for just about everything) bent it with a 4" radius, and worked it up into the crack to break up any stuff we couldn't reach. Work at this until no more stuff is in there. Now, tilt the machine toward you and "pat" firmly all over to jog anything left into the crack area, and check for chuncks again. When that's done, put everything back together, move the machine to where you can work from the top. Don't start it up. Get a flashlight and a wooden spoon. Open the top "pre-ground" door and peer in. With the wooden spoon handle, poke in there and tap everything to break up any stuck things. I thought a shopvac with a small tube might work here, too, but wasn't sure whether something bad might happen. Anyway, tap tap tap about 100 times. Now start up the machine. Keep peering in; watch how the mechanism works, and don't trap the spoon handle! Now, try to brew some coffee. While it's actually squeezing out the coffee, tap some more on the "closed" mechanism to free up any more stuck coffee. Do this whole procedure 3-4 times to be sure, but don't drink any of the coffee it brews: The first ejected puck looked really aweful - it looked like about 1/3 moldy coffee; of course the machine had been sitting for 3 weeks, probably stuck in the middle of a puck ejection cycle. Anyway, the machine should run good as new. Good luck and please comment as to whether it works for you. - Woody

Impressa S9 keeps beeping "clean now". Have run

There could be several reasons for this problem but I can only think of the following:
1.) The internal sensor may have gone "bad". The sensors are sensitive and prone to failure. But before you give up, see #2 & 3 below.
2.) A few things to check:
- Make sure you are using the recommended white cleaning tablets*. If the tablets aren't used then there may still be oil build-up in the brewing chamber.
- When indicated during the cleaning cycle, be sure to remove the tray and bean container for at least 20 seconds and then replace, even if they are already empty.
*Cleaning tablets can be ordered from www.capresso.com.
3.) If you don't have cleaning tablets on-hand then you can try running a regular brewing cycle using white vinegar** instead of water. Follow with at least 2 cycles of clear water (to rinse) before brewing your first cup of java.
***This method is probably not recommended by your manufacturer. I have used it on my machines without incurring any problems but I can't guarantee that it's safe for your machine.

Additional resources:
The entire pdf instruction manual for your machine can be downloaded from the following website: http://www.capresso.com/pdf/s9_instructions.pdf

Good Luck!

My Jura Impressa S9 does not GRIND?

Could be bad grinder or no 12v. The display/control runs on 5v and there is a transformer (supplying 5/12vdc) where the a/c cord comes in. Mine was blown from lightening. Try these guys... they have parts, trouble shooting and videos on youtube. http://www.partsguru.com/JuraCapressoImpressa.html

Error message Fault 5

The message 'FAULT 5' on the Jura Impressa F7, appears when there is a problem with the heating sensor. Normally it needs service or replacement. You can try to unplug it from the power supply for an hour and then open it again. See if it works.

Why is my F9 dispensing coffee directly into the grounds container instead of out the spouts?

From your description I would say a broken O ring seal in the brewing chamber. You will need to remove the brewing unit and clean, replace seals and lubricate the sliding guides.

Jura z5, steam not working and message says "unit is heating" sometimes. however pressing a coffee button it goes away and still makes coffee.

There are two heaters in the Z5.. one for coffee, one for steam. Sounds like you have a fault with the steam heater.
