.025" you should be using multi discharge point plugs in out board motors -not regular car engine plugs and the gap is preset on them the reason being , with multi point discharge they are less likely to foul from oil and carbon build up available from any good auto parts shop or marine shop

cheapest way is to buy a bigger power head you may achieve the desired power by boring and fitting bigger pistons but you will have to have a long talk with a dealer service center technician to see if that would be feasible to do as the motor is quite long in the tooth, it may be a better to consider a late model or new unit as the advantages of the later technology will be beneficial in the long run

These engine adjustments vary by year, but the later models had their idle RPM adjusted with the boat in the water to account for exhaust back-pressure. Actual idle speed is set by adjusting the Idle Timing while the unit is in gear in the water. Check the service manual for actual timing specifications, the owner's manual won't have this information.

That battery may be completely toast, Jacob. Or... it might just be the silly "smart" electronics - an old-style basic battery charger may be able to recover that battery.

By reading this.. I am assuming #3 is the crank battery.... Try this.. (from experience) remove all wires (or big terminals) from the battery and see how that works.. I have a 3 bank and use a stand alone charger!! Works BETTER!!!

Which thermostat, the one in the freezer, or the one with the new control? Is the new control just supposed to turn the freezer off and on at set temps, or does it do anything else?

Do you remove the trolling motor wires before charging..? ...If not.. try that......mine started taking a LONG time to charge.. after I remove the trolling motor cables.. it take less time and charges better!!!

"Does not want to start again". As in the motor does not turn on or as in it doesn't pump the water out?The lines from the tank to the pump have to be air tight or it will not be able to "draw" the water due to all the air getting in the line. From the pump to outlet, not quite as important except you really don't want water spraying everywhere so should be fairly tight and sealed.If it is using a float switch to start the motor, make sure it is working properly.

Are you wanting to disconnect the shift rod from the lower unit?? It just unscrews.. ..getting it screwed back in and set to the CORRECT HEIGHT is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT..(if you want to be able to shift and make the lower unit to last!) get one of these,, its invaluable!!! Not sure what the question is...is it two or for stroke?If you suspect bad ground the hook up a temporary one straight from the battery negative to the chassis of the motor. If still no spark then check the basics like the cable by removing the cap and sticking a screw or driver in the end of the cable and touching ground.BTW If the engine turns over with starter motor if you have one then your ground is probably good ..Spark problems depend on what sort of ignition the motor has but many small engines have an inductor module which can go **** up ...

if you are trying to wire the batteries for teh 24 volt motor then you need to connect the positive of one battery to the negative of the other battery. then connect the trolling motor to the remaining two terminal of the batteries.

if you are trying to connect the charger to the batteries then each battery should have its own set of wire coming from the charger.these wires should be connected to the batteries in a set not crossed between batteries.
