I am assuming you have a water line dedicated to the fridge for the ice maker. If the fridge has a water dispenser, make sure water is flowing from it. If no water is flowing, make sure the water line was not shut off (check the shut off valve usually where the line connects to the main water source. Also make sure that there is no electronic sensor or switch enabled that turns off the ice maker.

Is the door equipped with glass defrost? If so , the board is looking for the heater strip around edge of glass. This can be in the chain of the interlock. This precheck, done as soon as pwr is connected, is to protect the compressor and the board. If not,,, check light switch for open door. Look for disconnected wire , plug. All my best , Russ.

Could be one of two things.
Electronic problem with the main board.
Most likely it's the "gateway" that's gone bad.
It's a little motor inside with some gears, with a little heater to prevent it from freezing stuck.
Maybe it's just to much ice? That prevent it from opening.

its defrosting and the drain is probably plugged keep door closed and unplug for a few hours your problem should clear up, there might be some water in the fridge and on the floor no need to panic if this does not work you might have to get a repair man to clean out the drain

Set it initially to 5, then adjust after 8 hours as needed. If the regular liquids (not alcohol) start to freeze in the fridge section, it's too cold!
