In case anyone else encounters this problem here's what
worked for me. I had this happen last night and came here
searching for answers. It did not unloosen on it's own
after being left overnight. Finally this morning I came up
with something that worked for me. Shoot the lid all
around with a hairdryer and use a towel to keep seeing if
it has loosened up enough to move. After a few miuntes of
spraying it with the heat it stared sliding around and then
came up.

Yes they can. Turn the gas off and call for service. You can't fix it yourself, you have to be a registered gas appliance technician to work on any gas appliance. The dangers of gas. There is a cooling fan for upper and lower oven they run at the same time no matter which oven in use it is fed from the oven manager no way to trouble shoot without pulling oven out some models use same fan for both so you could have a blower on hand remove back panels to access fans take a lead off fan to determine which one noisey

where there is a will there is a way --correct you will break it - it is tacked to frame ---to remove it you need to tear apart the unit ---purchase a claw style part retrieval tool $4 at harbor freight -$11 home depot---lowes etc

This coulb be either the switch or the burner. Either can be tested with an ohmmeter if you can read the wiring diagram. Hope this helps!

That only leaves the control board or a broken connection. Due to the cost, I advise you to call for Jenn-Air Service.

Are you having any issues at all with the display at all? Did this start out of the blue or did you have a power outage or anything else?

We rebuild a lot of this part for the dim display problem. This will save you some money!

C3 capacitor rated for 68 µF- 35 Volts the closest radial capacitor from RadioShack is P/N 272-1015 (47µF-40 Volts). Pay attention to the position of the "white arrow" on the capacitor when replace. A little patience, a soldering iron and less than $1.50. Your range will be as good as new.Bonne Chance!

It's a Jenn-Air, you will need a service call. They are totally electronic and very complex. Look in the manual first as there may be a child lock function on the controls. It sounds like a thermister has failed though which is a temperature control device. It shouldn't freeze at 38'F, 6' above freezing.

If you jumper the yellow and white wires you should activate the heater,, if the thermostat and heater are good.
