I'm looking to upgrade to a 2018 Jeep summit with forward collision warning Does this system work at all sPEeds.

THAT IS DEALER ONLY QUESTION. FOR SURE UPGRADED PROGRAMMING. ( why assume there is?)_ ALL SPEEDS (SEEDS). WELL PROBABLY NOT, WHEN IN ,PARKING MODE. FIRST GOOGLE HIT (EVER GOOGLE>? The minimum speed for FCW activation is 5 mph (10 km/h). OR ASK THE DEALER OR GO THERE AND READ THE TSB FOR FCW UPGRADES. TSB ARE RECALLS AND UPDATES. AND WARNINGS OR NEW PROCEDURES ON ALL CARS. LEARN TO READ ALL TSB ON ALL CARS WORKED ON FIRST.

2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Liberty 3.7L. What would cause the headlights not to work?

Hello Joe Not sure what you mean when you say "when I turn the lever loose"? It sounds like the switch is faulty. If both headlights come on and then go off when you touch the lever, you know it isn't the bulbs, relays or fuses because they start off working. @Larry Ng is the Fixya Expert on Jeeps. Hopefully he will come by tomorrow.

Transmission Troubles codes on 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade 3.7L V6 4x4

well; all those p07xx codes are hard transmission errors or shifter errors. check levels yet on the tranny, not look like tar or smell burnt? do it by the book do not guess, how. or horrible errors happen. tranny 42RLE or 45RFE used .then. P0731, means 1st gear ratio wrong. (means slipping) 732 means 2nd gear slips. 734 means 4th gear slips. the causes are many why are you not asking any shop to diagnose it box leaks and leaked out ATF , and is way too low. box pump is bad, weak. he will scan it first . and even see more errors than you saw. no miles on car told 20 year old and 250,000 miles on it ,or more?

What are codes P0733 and P0736 indicating on a 2002 Jeep Liberty?

Codes P0733 and P0736 on a 2002 Jeep Liberty refer to transmission-related issues. Here's what each code indicates: P0733 - Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio: This code indicates that the transmission is not shifting into the third gear correctly. It suggests a problem with the gear ratio between the input and output shafts of the transmission when the third gear is engaged. This could be caused by issues such as a faulty transmission solenoid, a worn or damaged gear, low transmission fluid level, or internal transmission problems. P0736 - Reverse Incorrect Ratio: This code indicates that the transmission is not shifting into the reverse gear correctly. It suggests a problem with the gear ratio between the input and output shafts of the transmission when the reverse gear is engaged. Possible causes could include a faulty transmission solenoid, a damaged or worn reverse gear, low transmission fluid level, or internal transmission issues.

Ok so I changed the speed sensor by the transfer case on my 2001 Jeep Cherokee sport (xj) and I'm having trouble finding the other speed sensor location any advice?

On a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ), there are typically two speed sensors: the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) and the rear axle speed sensor. The VSS is located on the transmission or transfer case, while the rear axle speed sensor is located on the rear differential housing. Here are some tips to locate the rear axle speed sensor: 1. Locate the rear differential housing: The rear differential is typically positioned towards the rear of the vehicle, underneath the rear cargo area. Look for the large metal housing connected to the rear axle. 2. Identify the speed sensor: The rear axle speed sensor is usually mounted on the differential housing itself. It will have a wiring harness connected to it. 3. Follow the wiring harness: Trace the wiring harness from the rear axle speed sensor. It will lead you to a connector that is plugged into the vehicle's wiring system. The connector may be located near the rear axle or along the frame. 4. Inspect the differential housing: Look closely at the differential housing for a small protrusion with a threaded hole. This is where the rear axle speed sensor is installed. It may have a retaining bolt securing it in place.

On a 2007 Jeep Compass, should you be able to turn the rear differential by hand after removing the drive line? The tires are on the ground.

No, you should not be able to turn the rear differential by hand on a 2007 Jeep Compass with the tires on the ground after removing the driveshaft. The rear differential is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the rear wheels, and it should not rotate freely when the vehicle is in a stationary position. If you can turn the rear differential easily by hand with the tires on the ground, it may indicate an issue with the differential or the components associated with it, such as the differential gears, bearings, or axle shafts. It's recommended to have a qualified mechanic or technician inspect the rear differential to diagnose and address any potential problems.

92 jeep Cherokee 2.5l 5 speed m/t. Cranks but won't start. Parts cannon has been unloaded on it and still won't fire up

Parts cannon????? what is that? its old, and my 88 was worse. (french EFI injections) Renix MPI on some, can be painful. OR is SBEC ECU. well first ever get the service manual> I have them. the ECU is OBD1, the dealers lost the old 1992 scan tool.CALLED DRB-II (or it scares them, OBD1 tech long forgotten) or beat it to deathh DRB, 31 long years of uses. amazing facts. that. if you pulled that DIZZY , you just lost injector timing you did all that and not check , spark first. or compression>? those 2 tests are first, always for sure ANYTHING 31 years old. we use tools and do the tests and let the truth WIN. guessing is crazy expensive and worse putting on new parts or old or bad parts on the engine or doing it wrong btw the crank sensor put ON WRONG this engine wrecks the sensor and for sure a used sensor, wrecked put back on and not PREGAPPED. per the factory service manual , i Have. no sure if yours sensor has a pre gaping kit new. for CKP TESTING 1,2,3, wins the prize using test tools and methods. check compression first on all for and all will be a 150 psi and equal done battery fully charged, and throttle open. so it gets air to pump testing a $20 tool , and test DIY. next it the 100 year old test, called testing for spark using new test spark plug gapped to spec. and cranked. test all spark plugs and the DIZZY wires are no good 31 years old. HV wire set. x5 at end of spark HV wire, add a test spark plug ground spark plug metal outer shell top engine metal (ground) crank and watch (a 2 person test) do all 4, engine will not run on 3cylinders or less. the CKP sensors the flywheel/drive plate marks. CKP modern name was back then CPS. named. so same. if some one messed the m/t flywheel the CKP sure can fail the ISC on these cars love to stick closed and no idle air is present. so 5%throttle start the engine via right foot pushed a tad. does it? it loves to gum up. the fuel pump has ballast resistor, that if blown fuel pressure is zero.PSI forever. common fails Im talking hear. I just do the tests , if you lived on my block, we'd have it running or know for sure why not, I have scope here and all tools to do it. this jeep like all jeeps have ASD, automatic shutdown relay this relay is 100%ECU controlled, it shuts down if ECU senses bad spark or fueling errors or any kind shorts and overloads of DC power to injectors or spark coil. this relay is just fire prevention relay (a far better name) or more simply it even checks this relay for bad. to get spark ? the CKP and distributor CMP sensors must be good firing order must best correctly and timed by you. SOME brands of CKP are best avoided. buy SMP or NGK/NTk brands,. some sold have gaping stick on gasket to the end that is a pregapiing device, one time use;. 2nd time the sensor is wrecked. watch out for tricky CKP sensors. 3wire, it is. Rules : "Base ignition timingis not adjustable on any 2.5L,4.0L or 5.2Lengine.Base ignition timing and timing advance are controlled by the PCM".+ CKP the distributor timing is only for injections on this engine class. (steps installed dizzy) "Installation(2.5L & 4.0L) 1)Position distributor in engine.Ensure"O"ring is properly seated on distributor. Replace"O"ring if cracked or nicked. Carefully engage distributor driven gear with camshaft drive gear so when distributor is installed properly, rotor aligns withreference mark. 2)Install distributor cap. Check all highten sion wires for good connections. Install hold-down nut.Connect cam shaft position sensor wiring harness connector" now the smoking gun words from the OEM manual 92 CKP /CPS ,installs Installation (2.5 & 4.0L) To install, reverse removal procedure.Use only proper mounting bolt. Any other replacement bolt will cause improper sensor (the bolt is a custom shoulder bolt)!!! alignment. On Wrangler with 4.0L engine and automatic transmission, or swaps. ensure paper self-adhesive spacer on end of sensor is replaced if old sensor is be in gre used. Paper spacer is used to set proper depth.Once engine is started, paper spacer wears away!!!! what engine is actually in in any old car, IDK, but this CKP facts can not be ignored. or spark will fail hard. RECAP check compression 150psi is common , done right. check spark and for timing correct and firing order correct order: 1-3-4-2 at dizzy top and 4 spark plug set. rotor spins CW, clock wise. k3gaaaabjru5erkjggg==

1998 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. How to start my car without its original key?

Very simple answer, you can't. You have been watching too many old 'Dukes of Hazzard films where you cut a few wires, twist a few together and rub one wire against some metal and the car magically starts. Modern cars have alarms and engine immobilizers, computer controlled, so you need a mobile auto locksmith to make you a new chip key, and program it. When the vehicle was new, they gave you three keys. When you lose number 3 and then 2, you are supposed to get another, or this happens... no key.

2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee what cause the starter to keep on turning after i take my hand of the key?

2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee what cause the starter to keep on turning after i take my hand of the key? not told does engine run,.. wow. and if did run was starter screaming and grinding in pain, load and nasty sounds. my guess it did not start the engine but im only guessing. HAVE THE SAME CAR 2010 AND FULL OEM FACTORY 7000 PAGE SERVICE MANUAL IN IT. ONLY 3 CAUSES OF ST LINE FAILURE HERE. DO HAVE THE KEYLESS OPTION? as in no dash slot to hold the fack key like mine has. i will not guess 1 cause. will do all. 1; battery is super low now. and causes BCM to go mad. ( i cant hear your starter and hearing matters for 100 points here) 2; starter bad it can in fact stick (jam) or half stick and starter sings super high rpm but not the cranks shaft at all 3 the keyswitch is bad, stuck in ST position failed. 4: starter relay is bad as in contacts inside it welded (called fused) 5: if keyless option? dash has no key slot 6: added remote start box to car? as in remote cranking and starting? we can see the car and all options on the car. day1 , or added later. mine has this. but mine has no remote start. this yours. this plugs into dash slot and there is a real key switch there. when turned off the starter must stop, and engine. if the starter keeps going , see my list. for sure charge the cars battery 100 % first and now to do testing not told engine runs.!!! rke1-undefined-undefined-0.jpg
