PCM OBD2 vent errors DTC scanned. scan it yet? at gas fill up the gas blows back on to face? vents failing. "the short-lived 2.8 L VM Motori turbo diesel (2005-2006 only)" made here ( ibet all 3 are not the same) nor for all markets exported.

coil pack problems? new cam timing questions? no PROBLEM told all , so I answer blind and dumbb. we (USA)_ have no Cherokee here, 2011, are you in UK or India or? the Cherokee brand came back to USA in 2014,so you are not here. got yah. or or forgot it is GRAND.? << this>? or the SRT engine ? pulled the coil pack wires all at once. sure. never do that, it's 1 by1, but is not using old 2000 coil packs. no engine told at all not even v6 or v8 or size told no vin told so i can tell you what is under that hood. google vin decoder and see for your self first our GRAND has 4 engines, 1 is diesel so not that. our GRAND is 3.6L 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6. uses COPs, no coil packs just 6 cops o 5.7L 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. uses COPS. the PCM and harness break outs set order. 5.7L USA has twin COPS, 2 per bank 4 total. and going plug in one way. 6.4L 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. ditto. seems not sold in USA. ( data is hard to find on it)

no jeep told at all, 1941 to now. zero guessing 80+ years of jeeps not told what transfer case is there. lots possible. and are not the same. using part time 4wd on pavement causes lockup aka crab walk wind up. part time is for, offroad. only, or tires on ice or snow. not for pavement dry or only wet.period once this error is made there are only 3 cures. move 1/2mph ,no turns) and shift to 2wd. or move truck so that 1 tire or more are onto ice,dirt and shift to 2wd or jackup 1 tire off the road.and it UNWINDS now if doing this all wrong,the the transfer case chain is damaged. learn what part time means some even tell lies about it. part time means off road think about if pavement is covered in ice you are off road. see? part time has no center differential or a slip clutch device. no year jeep told no model jeep told no transfer case told i guess this. 241 is part time only. no Full time , no AWD the last digit 1= part time, 2 = full time 8 types exist. 241 = part time,. one of many made for 80 years. 1995 here.

I drove mine (gold) for 250,000 miles . 4.0L fuel injected. one of the first for jeep.the ISC /IAC on mine failed every 10,000 miles.just gunked up,cleaned it every time and every time fixed it.RENIX french fuel injection here go easy on this wild wild ECU.(hard to find parts for that)PCV also loves to clog so clean it all. (orifice type)EGR here, the only years, 4.0L had EGR on left side of Intake man, a huge deep Intake manifold. must not be stuck open ever. at idle, it too must be cleaned.but this, old I'd replace EGR and even first hint of failing or sticking EGR.Tech answers:this engine runs off VACUUM pressure ( that MAP sensor)Map + engine load + rpm = fuel mix. called the speed density system.when it stalls and spark is good. and fuel pressure is specthenair supply is wrong, IAC IS dead. is 99% cause, mine failed 10 timesso I did this magic trick, in spray can "E&L dry gun lube."ever see what hunters uses, way way up north, hunting say Caribou.they use dry gun lube. not in USA, show where it , the rules are by your countries laws. "safety" you did not say grand Cherokee,so is not. 1. All fuses checked good,cab and underhood.
2. scan the obd2 port for DLC errors.bingo.
3. PCm.BMC ,etc, see CEL on check engine lamp
4. sees brake switch bad. (foot pedal switch)
5. sees transmission errors.
6. sees TBW errors but sure I'm repeating #2 (throttle by wire)
7. sees throttle errors, again I repeat #2
8. cruise switches bad.
9. clock spring to said switches bad. , DTC errors again.
10. wires to any the above bad.
11. no transmission told,but m/t clutch switch bad, or A/T PRNDL bad.switch
12. speed control servo bad, no t#6 (used only for Cruise)
13. mech error , transmission detected slipping grossly.

serfvice manual also states or added safety, the speed control system is programmed to disengage for any of the following conditions:

• An indication of Park or Neutral
• A rapid increase rpm (indicates that the clutch has been disengaged)
• Excessive engine rpm (indicates that the transmission may be in a low gear)

The speed signal increases at a rate of 10 mph per second (indicates that the coefficient of friction between the road surface and tires is extremely low). The speed signal decreases at a rate of 10 mph per second (indicates that the vehicle may have decelerated at an extremely high rate). why not scan it first. ??????? like 99% of all others do or by proxy (shops) ours is 3.7L gas engine, got diesel? no clue told ,drive train at all . zero on ours the IAC bad causes Idle speeds dead wrong. #7 above.

FASCIA FRONT REMOVE? Remove the fascia (2) to splash shield screws (1). Remove the lower fasteners (2) and disconnect the electrical connectors (1).

1. Remove the fasteners (2).
2. Separate the fascia (3) from the fender support clips (1).
3. Remove the push pin fasteners (3).
4. Remove the hood overslam bumpers (4) and remove the fascia.

all else works,? drives. runs and all lighting ok? UK car? why not just say country.? is the horn button failing or only alarm horn use failing. not told ,guess both????? on ours LHD, the relay is soldered down the TIPM( a new name for smart PDC) Fuse 22 and 23 good, h1and h2 fuses we check all fuses first and the scan the OPD2 port for DTC errors next. do not rip in to air bags,and get hurt done wrong,scan the OBD1 port.

we diagnose first and fix next in that order or go broke fast GUE$$ing endlessly. ask how to do the tests using real shop tools you do not have? this is only the beginning tests. I have posted them all here vast times.already./ all fuses test good? BLower works on high, (dash hAVAC blower) the dash AC lamp glows. AC turned on. the engine bay, compressor clutch fully engaged and compressors spins and belt to it not missing or slipping. full stop, lots more to do . but, you need tools to go beyond here. most 1994 this is long ago dead, not told history of HVAC. i say get a shop to diagnose it, pay them. like 99% do or more.

both dead that it?fuses good?one right and one left front. under bumper look see find em, both grounds good.horn fuse F21 blow,the dead horn pair the horn relay must cluck beeped. no year told , no joy in that , you or any real helpers. no engine told, no country told. engine size 4.0L?>< wild goose guess. no fuel it burns told gas,petrol or diesel?? or E100? or LNG, or LPG, or? there are 2 macro causes engine weak as a cat. no power at all off idle! or bad transmission.? 50 causes for each. no kidding. it's not like a dead flashlight, EFI is complex even my new 1988 Cherokee was. with French Injection EFI.

parks dead outside and inside dimmer side both dead. fuses are first. lacking the manual we check them all. I must assume front and rear parks and side parks are all dead. and will answer only for that fact the front feed makes dash lamps work too. rear end , optional has lamp outage module to fail ,. only rear. I have the shop manual for all GC . USA? XJ jeep park wiring all (aka , tail lamps or running lamps but are the same feed) feed means power feed. chapter 8w is wiring all fuse box PDC fuse 13 good. pdc fuse 17 good pdc relay park good. BCM runs this relay so the park switch to it must be good. only in auto lamps manual lamps turned on BCM is not in that path and Fuse 17 feed lamps direct via the HL switch ON. if fronts/and front sides are dead, Fuse 17 blew. if not the HL switch is bad. I won't say, all wires to above can fail, that be obvious.

REMOTE AS IS LAYING BED REMOTE?>???????? remote starts have huge list of reasons to fail. (BY DESIGN) in fact some countries and states they are illegall(sic) period. SCAN THE OBD2 PORT, IT TELLS YOU WHY, FOR SURE CAUSES:

1. DTC ERRORS LIVE. FROM ENGINE , OR TRANS< scan it.
2. DOORS NOT LOCKED
3. WINDOWS NOT UP.
4. TRANSMISSION ERRORS(NOT IN PARK OR ERRORS HERE)
5. SOME CARS HAVE TIMER THE SHUTS DOWN, SAY 10MINS. Due to CARBON MONOXIDE DEADLY GAS DOES NOT KILL OCCUPANTS ON 2ND FLOOR SAY OVER A GARAGE. ( no joy there) and more
6. learn to read the service manual in that chapter, it TELLS ALL.

In the USA the EPA mandates at least 2, sensors. on an inline 4 banger engine 2, sensors.(front and rear of cat) B1S1 and B1S2 on V6 engine, 3 or 4 sensors. this depend if both banks are Y piped or not, no engine told. 2 bank independent exhaust pipes is 4 O2. sensors B1S1/s2 and B2S1/S2 2 bank, y piped to 1 can is 3 sensors. , also in USA calif car may have its own setup, for decades this is true, they have their OWN EPA called CARB. , no country told and no STATE told gets you lies easy. the service manual covers all 3 engines, why not read it;. or google VIN decode, type in VIN and it tells you in 10sconds flat what is there. if you asked your dealer this they demand the VIN. after all why would they want lie to you.?

I would check to be sure that the timing chain hasn't jumped at all ..
