2004 jeep grand cherokee died on the freeway and now just cranks but won't start
Whew! Tight spot. Here are some quick and some more involved things to check. Hopefully, another responder will pitch in. A good time to call AAA.
Troubleshoot this issue step by step:
Check for Spark: Crank the engine and check if there's a spark at the spark plugs or ignition coil. If you have a spark, the crankshaft position sensor (CPS) is likely not the problem.
Fuel Pump Operation: When you turn the key to the "on" position (but not start), you should hear the fuel pump run for a couple of seconds. If you don't hear it, there might be an issue with the fuel pump or its relay.
ASD Relay: The Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay controls power to essential components like the ignition coils. If the ASD relay is faulty, you won't get spark. Check and replace it if necessary.
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor: Ensure that these sensors are functioning correctly. They play a crucial role in engine performance.
Check the Key: If everything else checks out, consider the key itself. The chip in the key has a unique identifier code. Some replacement keys may mimic this code, so make sure your key is genuin..
Bus Line and SKIM Module: Verify the PCI bus line between the PCM/data link connector and the SKIM module. If there's an issue with communication, it could prevent the engine from starting

2000 Jeep Cherokee Laredo P0455 & P0765 limp mode and dies driving!
4.7L jeep
the p07 code is tranny error.
cutting off all power means , power to rear wheels or DC battery power to some things ,electrical things die?)
on all cars, DC power must be good first or the computers fail or go mad.
P0455 is gas cap loose, ignore it until all else is cured.
unless cap is missing sure.
Shift Solenoid "D" Malfunction. 0755
fix DC power distribution problems first.
bad grounds, bad connectors, alternator weak or dead
fuses blown or loose
loose wire lugs, or connectors.
rusty ground lugs wires.
title ,DIES Driving.
so dies means engine stalls. not tranny slip right.?
if is stalling can you save the stall before it completes the stall
by fast right foot actions
when it stalls tell the helper all other electrical things that die at the event. Radio dead, head lamps and parking lamps dead.
heater or AC cool blower dead?
Seems to me a pure electrical failure so far.
Jeep Commander Rear Brake Pad Installation
Per Chilton Auto repair manual:
Removal & Installation
-
Raise and safely support the vehicle.
-
Remove the rear wheel.
-
Siphon a small amount of brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
-
Insert
a small prybar through the caliper opening and pry the caliper cover
(using the outboard brake pad) to bottom the piston in the caliper bore.
-
Remove the caliper slide bolts.
-
Remove the caliper from the anchor.
WARNING
Support the brake caliper with mechanics wire. Do not let the caliper hang by the brake hose.
-
Remove the brake pads from the caliper.
To install:
-
Install the brake pads onto the caliper.
-
Lubricate the slide pin bolts with grease provided with the brake pads, or suitable silicon grease equivalent.
-
Install the caliper on the anchor and tighten the slide pin bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
-
Install the rear wheel.
-
Lower the vehicle.
-
Pump the brake pedal several times until a firm pedal is obtained in order to properly seat the pads.
-
Refill the brake fluid reservoir to the proper level.

1987 Jeep dies when temperature hits 180. Then it will start up after its sits for 30 minutes.
First you will need to determine if there is a problem with the electrical system or fuel system. Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail to see if you have pressure when the vehicle dies. It it maintains pressure and the vehicle dies, then check to see if there is a spark issue. Fuel issue could be bad/weak fuel pump, bad relay or restriction in fuel delivery system. No spark could be ignition coil, bad computer, bad electrical connection or relay. To check these systems you need special meters and scanners. Best to take to a repair center.

My interior lights on my 1998 grande cherokee jeep wont shut off
This might sound silly but have you checked the switches on the actual light fittings? They usually have three settings. Permanently Off, door controlled or permanently On. If there are no switches on the actual light fitting try pushing the lens itself at each narrow end. Some lenses rock end to end as the switch mechanism.

My 02 jeep liberty dash not working. No tack, speedometer, fuel or engine temperature. Any help please
- Faulty Instrument Cluster: The instrument cluster itself may be defective or damaged. Over time, electronic components can degrade, leading to malfunctions.
- Fuse: Check the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the instrument cluster. A blown fuse could disrupt power to the cluster, causing all the gauges to fail simultaneously.
- Faulty Wiring: There could be a problem with the wiring harness or connectors that supply power and data to the instrument cluster. Loose connections or damaged wires can prevent the cluster from receiving the necessary signals.
- Vehicle Speed Sensor: The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is responsible for providing speed data to the instrument cluster. If the VSS malfunctions, it can cause the speedometer to stop working, and it may affect other gauges as well.
- Engine Control Module (ECM): The ECM communicates with the instrument cluster to provide data for various gauges. A malfunctioning ECM could disrupt communication and cause all the gauges to fail.
- Grounding Issues: Poor grounding can lead to electrical problems, including instrument cluster malfunctions. Ensure that all ground connections related to the instrument cluster are clean and secure.
Given the complexity of diagnosing electrical issues, it's advisable to have a qualified mechanic or automotive technician inspect your vehicle. They can use diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem and recommend the necessary repairs. Additionally, if the issue is related to the instrument cluster itself, it may need to be repaired or replaced by a professional.

U0125-00 and other codes present with traction control, acc, and 4wd
Have you checked the connectors in the wiring harnesses for the ABS unit and associated components for water intrusion or corrosion?
The codes that you've posted (details below) all point to a poor electrical connection in the circuit(s) or an open or short in the circuit(s). That could be either due to corrosion, liquid intrusion, a wiring harness rubbing against something hot or something that vibrates and has damaged the wiring.
If the wiring and connections are all intact and there are no opens, shorts to power or shorts to ground, the next think to look at would be the modules and/or sensors to make sure they're operating within spec.
U1003 Possible Causes:
*Faulty Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
*Module Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
*Module harness is open or shorted Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
*Module circuit poor electrical connection
The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets if the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Module fails to receive bus messages from the Dynamic Sensor for approximately 150 ms.
-----
C0020-1c Possible Causes:
*Faulty Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) *Control Module Faulty Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU)
*Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) harness is open or shorted Hydraulic Control Unit
*(HCU) circuit poor electrical connection
The Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) consists of a valve body, pump motor, and inlet/outlets for the brake lines. The combined HCU and Antilock Brake System (ABS) module is located forward of the master cylinder.
The Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module monitors the ABS Pump Motor. The ABS Module sets the OBDII code when the ABS Pump Motor is not to factory specifications.
------
U0125 Possible Causes:
*Faulty Dynamics Sensor Dynamics Sensor
*Harness is open or shorted Dynamics
*Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) sets if the Anti-Lock Brakes System (ABS) Module fails to receive bus messages from the Dynamics Sensor.
