The transmission is probably in limp-in mode, and should have an associated check engine light code/DTC. Something like that can be based on sensor issues or an actual problem inside the transmission.

Sorry ,but you need a better mechanic . This wouldn't be the relay .if it was the relay it would do it all the time . Hooking up a professional scan tool an checking sensor input data to the PCM- engine computer is what should be done . What are the fuel trims at ? short & long trims , are the O2 sensors switching normally , what's the mass airflow sensor data ? any codes stored . It just so happens the relay on your vehicle is a PCB relay . Printed circuit board relay . Which means it's inside the under hood fuse , soldered to the circuit board . Do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop.

Chrysler , Jeep an dodge have a defective electronic control module called a TIPM - totally integrated power module , it's part of the under hood fuse box . There is a recall on some make an model years of these vehicle's . Your best bet would be to call the dealer an see if your's is covered .

Remove the fuse from the security system, one of your doors is failing to make the sensor y tripping the alarm. Then bypass one at a time till you find the kulprit y replace it, start with the drivers door
