I would do a fuel pressure test first. Attach the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel fail and see if the engine has enough pressure when it dies. If it does then you will need a scanner to see which sensors are causing the problem.

OBD-II Code P0480 is defined as a Cooling Fan Relay 1 Control Circuit
The purpose of the electric cooling fan system is to provide extra cooling capacity to the conventional radiator cooling system on hot days, and/or when the A/C is on, and/or when the vehicle is being driven in stop and go traffic which causes insufficient air flow over the radiator. 25 years ago, most cars and light trucks utilized a mechanical cooling fan attached to the front of the engine to increase air flow through the radiator. However, as fuel economy and low emissions became a high automobile design priority, vehicle engine cooling systems incorporated computer controlled electric cooling fan systems and abandoned the less efficient mechanical cooling fan.
When code P0480 is triggered, the power train control module or PCM is commanding the cooling fan to operate, but the PCM is not seeing the proper electrical feedback from the cooling fan circuitry that would indicate the fan is operating properly.

They are 4 wheel drive so that needs looking at professionally. If I remember that is something that happens to the differential if you turn corners on paved road in 4 WD. It is supposed to be used on soft surface where the wheels can slide if needed when cornering. Here are the details. If I remember, you jack one side up and the wheel unwinds, then you do the same on the other side. Have a read.

As I said in your last question, there are very few reasons you need to go near it. A good auto electrician with a professional grade scan tool computer can diagnose the ECM for faults in about 20 to 30 minutes. It is not a job for 'let's try changing this'. If it is bad, a new one needs a tech to install as it has to be programmed with the VIN Number and mileage and set up.

Question edited for clarity.Question moved to model category. It could be many things and it is no good guessing. An auto electrician can connect a professional grade scan tool computer and record what happens at the moment it stalls. It is more cost effective that guessing and swapping out parts. It may just be a cracked wire or a bad connector.https://www.google.com/search?q=auto+electrician+near+mehttps://www.google.com/search?q=1999+Jeep+Grand+Cherokee+engine+stalls+while+driving..
No, unfortunately you can't, it has to be programmed with the mileage of the vehicle and also with the VIN Number.
You would need an auto electrician to do that, so you might as well call one to get the problem diagnosed and the anti-theft reset. The is only one reset, it is not a phone that has a 'soft' and a 'hard'. An auto electrician will have a professional grade $5k bi directional scan tool computer that can quiz and diagnose all the modules involved with the antitheft system and immobilizer.
