Your tension is incorrect, either the top tension is too tight or the bottom tension is too loose. Tension is a delicate tug of war between top and bottom thread to get the hooked loop of thread dead centre in the pieces of material. The is also a slight possibility that you are using a need that is too large and making a hole that is too big for the thread, and is making it loose. The top video is the best one ever made in the history of sewing machines.

Loops on top of the fabric mean the top thread tension is too tight. Decrease tension (lower number) with small increases at a time.

Initially, the "safety device has been activated" error is usually caused by a jammed thread or fabric.
2 possible causes
The upper thread has become tangled around the bobbin case,
The needle is bent and hitting the needle plate, so the machine stops.
To fix this error.
1, Unplug your machine,
2. Remove the needle ( I know it is in a down position and locked up) but you can be able to remove it.
3. After removing the needle, turn your hand wheel if still locked up or stiff. Remove your needle plate and remove all your threads both upper and lower.
4. Clean your bobbin area using a brush take a deep breath then blow.
5. After that, try to turn your hand wheel again, if the hand wheel moves freely, rethread your machine and replace your needle with a new one. Then try to sew a few stitches using a hand wheel (do not sew using a pedal) if the hand wheel creates stitches that is the time to sew using the pedal.
If the problem is still there, you possibly have broken gear that needs to be replaced

The problem is that JC Penney were just a department store seller of machines made by someone else, a regular sewing machine company, ie Singer, Necchi, Nelco, Brother..., but was badged under JC Penney's name.

I can normally move Category and get it out of Sewing Machines where you put it, but the mechanism to do that is broken so it will have to stay there forever. We have a Watch category..
It is a single crown watch. The crown has two or possibly three stop positions, the first ones do Day and Date and the furthest out does the time.

To use the White Mighty Mender W100 Mini Sewing Machine, follow these steps:
1. Place the machine on a flat, stable surface. 2. Plug in the machine and turn it on. 3. Thread the machine by following the threading guide provided in the manual. Make sure to use the correct thread and needle for your project. 4. Place your fabric under the presser foot and lower the foot to hold the fabric in place. 5. Use the handwheel to lower the needle into the fabric at the starting point. 6. Press the foot pedal or use the start button to begin sewing. 7.
