The #3 bell lock is located next to the #2 lock it allows the bell ring or remain silent during use. This key locks the key arms so they cannot be pressed down. #3 key is zig- zag shaped You need the keys to program the unit!! If you need any help (more Info please)

Most likely bad capacitors. They can be replaced but I wouldn't recommend a novice trying to do so. It requires soldering skills. If you can get into the monitors and check the inverter boards to see if any of the caps look like the ones in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDGjWOabJ2E that would be a start. At least then you're armed with knowledge before getting overcharged by someone who wants to charge you a couple hundred bucks to replace a couple $4 caps.

It is basically a PC, if you format it you will lose everything on the harddrive. You then need to install whatever stock management software you want on it.

Whatever a willing buyer will pay for them in regards to condition of resolution and age.Because these will now be third hand if you sell them on the value may well be lower. The average sales of Javelin LC 32" second hand is about 100-150 each. The 42" can bring 180-240

I would have to say yes because the data for your POS can be found HERE and it says it has a removable hard drive. Unfortunately it's no longer being sold so support is limited.

Reinstall the sound drivers that came with your motherboard CD. No CD- then go to your motherboard site and find your motherboard on the site, then in the upper right corner (down about an inch or two) there will be a directory for you to choose from- either Specifications, BIOS updates, Drivers, etc. There you go. Gotta' know what motherboard you have before you can instal any drivers. Can't just install any drivers out there... Good Luck and take your time...

The CMOS battery is in a black retangular chip (35mm x 20mm) next to the HD. The name "Dallas" shoud be printed on this chip, which can be replaced. Just tweek up each end. Note the way the label is facing should you reconnect. The label will read: panel 5v, Sig 5v, invert 12v if you have a 10.4" A 12.1 LCD will have the panel at 3.3v. Hope this helps you. Glenn

Hello,

Basically the answer is no. The Javelin LC's come with 32MB of memory...the required amount of memory for XP and 2000 Pro are double that. 64 MB of memory total needed.

So without upgrading this PC which might not even be possible then you will have to use Windows 95.

check the feed tires ,the ones that feed the paper/cards into the printer. they maybe slick with paper dust. I recommend taking a cotton dish cloth or rag with some 409 cleaner on it the the feed tires clean all the paper dust off the tires let dry then try to feed card again. sound like the sensor is covered with paper dust, and is giving a false error.

sounds like your printer buffer may be running out of memory. Try turning the file into a PDF and printing that instead.

Go to the Dell support website http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/
Put in your service tag # (it is usually located on a little barcode sticker on the back of your machine). It does not matter if your machine is out of warranty or not. This is one of the reasons I like DELL. DELL has drivers for their machines that go back 10 years or more. I have never had a problem getting them from the website. When you see the downloads that you need download the ones that say driver. You may have to download the chipset driver also. When you do download the drivers and it asks you for the filename to save it as I find that it helps to add a name to the dell #'s to describe the driver so that it looks something like R264710video. Once you download them and transfer them to your computer they should install themself in the correct location (you just have to double-click on the .exe file and answer the prompts (if any)).
