Ray vac pool cleaner seems to lack enough power

Clean the bottom screen first.
Where the hose hooks to the wall you have a finger screen either in the wall or sticking out of the wall. Ether way pull that out and clean it.
Chech all of your hose floats and jet's make sure none leak and check the float inside the head. Good luck.

Ray Vac cleans only in deep end

Make sure that your automatic pool cleaner doesn't have an obstruction in the hose that might not immediately be visible. This could cause it to circulate in one end of the pool. Also, check the water pressure to ensure that it has enough force to travel the entire pool.

Ray vac will not go in reverse, what is wrong

Your backup valve has probally gone bad. You just need to pull this out of the line and take it to a pool store and have the internal replaced. They will do this for just the price of the part in most places.

probably not...usually, this is just a dirty filter...i f that's clean, then try cleaning the propulsion jets w/a paper clip...also, if you've modified/cut away any hose over the years, that can screw up the geometry too and cause circling...also, check for lineleaks and overall pressure (~20psi usually, go higher if needed to avoid circling), and be sure the backup valve turns off when not backing up...if overall pressure is too low due to leaks, etc., it will circle.

Ray Vac Pool Cleaner for Inground Concrete: Our Ray vac worked well for years but now it tends...

If your automatic pool cleaner is going in circles, you might want to check your backup hydro-timer. If it is releasing most of the water out of the discharge hoke, you might need to replace the defective jet gear assembly. Also, make sure that the transporter jet is not plugged. Check your hose to make sure that there are not any obstructions that would prevent proper movement.

My cleaner doesnot come out of the deepend and

These automatic pool cleaners are pretty easy to troubleshoot. Make sure that the finger screen and energy filter are not dirty. If clogged or obstructed, both of these can cause the cleaner to go in circles and stall. Make sure that the backup hydro-timer is not releasing most of the water out of the discharge hole. If it is, you will probably have to replace the defective jet gear assembly. Make sure that the transporter jet is not plugged and that the debris chamber and hose are not obstructed.

Ray Vac Pool Cleaner for Inground Concrete: after cleaning out debris from my ray vac my jandy...

What model is it? Is it robotic (indepentdent of your pump and filter)? If it is attached to your pump system, it could be the cord getting tangled and causing the pool cleaner to move in circles. You might want to consider running it when you are available to watch it or getting a robotic cleaner that you can set to operate at certain times. You might just need to check the hose for defects that would cause it tangle.

Cleaner floats at the bottom of the pool and does

On these automatic pool cleaners, the finger screen or energy filter being blocked/clogged is often to blame for the cleaner not moving properly. Check them and clean if they look blocked. You will also want to check for a hole in hose that would cause it to lose pressure. Also, check to make sure that the transporter jet is not plugged.

I had a 20X40 inground pool installed on a slope.

I think they are using what you did as an excuse to cover their oops, They should stand by their installation and fix it for nill. if the concrete is not standing up to the p[ool , then they did not engineer the installation and make it good for the support of the pool
they drive cars on 6 inches of concrete, and if installed correctly it will last forever

My Ray Vac is 2 years old. What is their average

You should be able to get your pool shop to rebuild this for you, usually just for the cost of parts. Then you should take it in to them once a year to be checked as prevention is worth more than cure. Good luck.

My Ray Vac is also floating in a nose dive

You have a head float inside the head that has probally cracked and filled with water. You can take this apart yourself or your pool store will probally do this for you for just the price of the part. Then they can look over the whole thing for you. Just remove the head and bring it into the store. Good luck.
