The watch seems to stop when I wear it - fine timekeeper if not worn!
The only way that makes any sense is if there is something loose inside the watch possible the battery plate or battery are moving when you are moving. The back will need to be removed and the battery plate checked. You will need to have the watch checked at a jewelry store or watch repair shop. Thank you i hope this helps a little !!
I can't set the date on my watch - right now I
The date changes around midnight and you can usually advance the date by going past midnight until the date changes and then turning the watch backward to a time shortly before midnight and then winding it forward again.
How far back you need to go you will have to find by experiment but it should not be very far.
I have jlc movement 450 with dial but case is
cousinsuk.com choose branded watch parts, select the brand and search. They are in England but I use them all the time, you have to go through there little signup procedure but whatever it takes, right?
How do I replace the watch bands . Thank You
You'll notice that the band, between the 2 fingers of the watch, is held by a pin. That pin has a very small head, like a nail. With a very small flat screwdriver, (jeweler type), simply get between the finger of the watch and the head of the pin and slowly try to disengage the pin. Push it to the other finger. (be careful as to NOT drop the pin as they are spring loaded
I cannot wind the watch, it will not wind up.
Just the stem - is about a $40 repair.
If there is clockspring damage - you're looking at $75ish

Problems with setting the date on this watch
mcdevito75 here, It does seem to be a hard way to set the date. I would imagine to you have stem and not buttons, Try this slip your fingernail just under the stem (winder) and lift the stem to it"s first position, now turn the stem either toward or away from you to change the date easily.
Vintage 1940. Doesn't run. Numbers on back of case
It might be worth having the back of the watch removed to see if there is anything engraved on the movement.
You might find that cleaning the watch gets is going, although the advice of the watch repairer should be asked for on this, as it might be very worn and in need of new parts which are unlikely to be available.
If it works and there is information on the movement, you might be able to get some information on the watch from the maker. Visit their web site (www.jaeger-lecoultre.com/) and make an inquiry, giving them all the information that you have.
An interesting problem!
Good luck.
Small dial on the watch face that counts the minutes won't return
Check in the instructions if there is a way to re-sync the hands. For some models of watches the hands are able to be calibrated.
It is also possible that the watch has a problem. Either the dial hand is not properly seated on to its axel, or the drive gear that is under the axel skipped a tooth. You will have to find someone who can service watches to fix this for you.

How do I set time.? No manual, remote does not work.
- Buttons on the Device: Look for any buttons on the device itself. Sometimes, there are buttons that allow you to navigate through menus and adjust settings directly on the device.
- Trial and Error: Try pressing different buttons on the device to see if any of them bring up a menu for setting the time. Look for buttons labeled "Menu," "Setup," "Clock," or similar.
- Long Press: Sometimes, pressing and holding certain buttons on the device can activate different functions. Try pressing and holding various buttons to see if it triggers a menu for setting the time.
- Google Search: If you know the model number of your Ultech device, try searching online for the manual. Many manuals are available for download from manufacturer websites or other online sources.
- Contact Manufacturer: If you're unable to find the manual online or if you're still having trouble setting the time, try reaching out to Ultech's customer support. They may be able to provide you with guidance on how to set the time on your device.
- Replace Remote Batteries: If the remote isn't working, try replacing the batteries. Sometimes, a non-functional remote can be as simple as dead batteries.
