Pomegranate
Well ya can juice 'em but it's a bit labour intensive .. lol 'cause ya gotta skin 'em, and get ALL the "Seeds" out, they taste bad... then put the pulp in.. and juice away... yield is low also .. but tastes real nice in the end.. I usually do it in a plastic bag,and tip the pulp into the juicer. Ya can make great "leathers" too..
I bought a Jack Lalanne's
motor has burned out field winding s and is not capable of running under load
the seller knew that and you bought it
hope you didn't pay more than a few dollars for it
The filter that spins on my juicer is getting
IF there is NO plastic on it, you can use heat from something like a heat gun or oven to bake it off. You might also try something like CLR or muratic acid BUT they are not that expensive to replace.
My jack Lalanne juicer just
Mine stopped working after only a few uses. It turns out that the safety microswitch button wasn't being depressed. The little button on the bottom of the pulp collector had broken off. (Image #1) I put a 1/4 inch piece of a shishkabob skewer in the hole before putting the pulp collector on. (image #2) It works fine now. It's still safe. The motor will not start unless the pulp collector (receptacle) is in place and locked in. Be sure to unplug the machine before doing this.
Motor is humming not working
it is jammed, or it is too full....stop, take apart, scoop out pulp, put back together and restart. go slow when juicing...too fast will jam it!
Are the recipe book or the owners manual available?
The owner's manual should be available online. Any good juice recipe book will work with this juicer. I've found amazing recipes online and especially at countless Nutritional/ Vegan websites. This type of juicer is a "juice extractor", meaning it doesn't completely liquify all of the pulp like the new Ninja does. Look for recipes that work for a juice extractor.
Where is the safety Switch in the Jack Lalanne
The safety switch is on the bottom base where the pulp collection bin goes. If you look on the pulp collection bin there is a small tab that when assembled right deactivates the safety switch. The main arm that holds the top container where you put the produce in is also a safety mechanism that when not in place the machine will not turn on.
