Frequent alarms "Control power loss" Often

Control power loss is often caused by high airend temp or a faulty High Air Temp. switch(HAT Switch). I suspect the HAT switch is bad and opening prematurely because the att. temp. probe located next to the Hat switch is set to give a temp alarm and shut down the compressor at 228 degrees. The hat switch is located in the end of the airend and should have a 1/2 " flex conduit attached to it. When this switch opens it cuts control power. Thus the controller issues a control power loss. This switch is set to open at 245 degrees. If faulty it may open at 150, 180, 200. Anything but what it is set at. You can check this switch with a meter. When the unit trips simply test for 110 volts at the switch or in the control panel if familiar with wiring . please be very careful while in any electrical panel.. 110 volts in, 110 volts out. NO 110 volts out or on one leg of the switch means its bad and should be replaced. After it cools for a while the compressor will run again.

T30 model 242 Safety relief valve pops off at

From want you are describing sounds like the high pressure valves are leaking in the HP Head. there are 2 safeties on this unit . If the safety that's lifting is between the low and high pressure cylinders it's hp valves leaking. If the tank safety is lifting at 50-60 psi It should be replaced. It is a 200 psi safety.

I have an older i/r type 30 model 234 d4 that wont build air over 30 psi? The motor is a 1.5 hp and is wired correctly and theirs no water in the tank!!! Help!!

Hi dennisHere are a few things to check, you may have already checked some of these.Electricity...Compressors will run best with full 115Vot 15AMP/Or 220V electrical supply from a circuit, over the shortest electrical cord as possible.Air Leaks..Place your ear close to the compressor and listen for air leaking, if you hear air that is not normal and means you have to locate and repair whatever it is that is leaking.Check the air unloader valve... The air unloader valve will blown out air when you turned off the compressor, that is normal. But it should not have air leaking out of it all of the time. If so then it is faulty and in need of repair/replacement.Valves...If either the intake or exaust valves fail, breaks, or fails to seat, then your compressor will run 24 hours a day and never build up to the correct pressure for shut-off. Gaskets...Check to see if your gaskets have failed. You could have a gasket failure between the pistons and you will never know it because it shows no external air leak.If this situation happens then the air will only cycle between cylinders and never build up the correct air pressure. One way to check the gasket is remove the air filter, then put your hand over the intake. Please take time to rate meBudIf correct then it will suck you hand against the intake. If the valve or valves have failed then you will feel the air sucking in and blowing out.Piston Rings and Cylinder...The piston rings could be stuck, broken, or worn and not allowing the correct pressure to build up in your tank.A worn cylinder will also contribute to the problem of pressure build-up.Pressure Switch...Check for air leaks at the pressure switch, it has a rubber diaphram that can fail and leak air out of the system. Please take time to rate me

Need a manual for a Ingersoll Rand Model 111

If you go online to Ingersol Rand, click on air tools. You should be able to find the IR-111 knuckle saver ratchet. Once there you should be able to click on a link that opens up the exploded view of internal parts. Otherwise go to your local air tool repair centre, they can help.
