Hi my name is Luke and I bought a Ingersoll-Rand 7.5 compressor and won’t start. I noticed it has a wire not connected on the capacitors it’s a blue wire that reads t5 v3 there’s a capacitor with open prong before two start caps and another capacitor after the two start caps , at least that’s what it reads on caps unless they have been wired wrong , being that I would think the start up caps should be wired first from powers supply box , want to know where it went Before I went trying to change capacitors and there’s 5 here’s a pic

Your location may not have a good constant supply of electricity and you are experiencing variable voltage surges. I would suggest that you get a voltage meter and check the voltage to the motor while it is running under load. It needs to remain constant.

I would call my local IR distributor for support on this.

STARTER FAULT 1SL (2SL)- This will occur if the starter contacts open while the machine is running. It will also occur if the machine is given the stop command and the starter contacts do not open. 1SL refers to the auxiliary circuit on starter contact 1M. 2SL refers to the auxiliary circuit on starter contacts 2M and 1S.

well,if your air compressor was shut off this due to pressure switch w/c auto switch off your compressor,the pressure switch acquired already the cut off pressure.if the pressure goes down the cut in set up reached it will start your compressor
to run.
regarding oil spillage when shutting down check the oil level on the sight glass of crankcase
a red line indicate oil should not exceed on that level line,if the oil exceed try to drain oil.,on the side bottom of engine there is a drain plug.until on limit level .,besure that machine is shut off/breaker is off.have a nice day don't forget to rate me,thank's

Has the power supply been checked? It should reset itself when proper supply power is restored.

possibly the check valve but most compressors shut off at 100 psi it could be that the motor is not of sufficient capacity to go to a higher pressure and that is why it appears to be struggling

check minimum pressure check valve on top of separator cover.

I don't know if your unit is exposed to the direct sun light if it is I suggest you create some shade , or if this this unit is enclosed is not getting enough air flow to keep cool. ( this air flow helps to stabilized the sensor that stop and start the compressor )
