After we changed the printing spools, the printer is having problems

Spools? Do you mean the toner cartridge? If it is, take it out and holding it on the outside edges, rock it back and forth 10 to 20 times to even out the toner in the cartridge. And rock it, don't shake it. Then put it back in and try it again. If it has the same problem, there's a chance you got a bad cartridge; in the case explain the problem to the provider and ask them to give you a replacement.

TOF doesn't cycle platen

Usually due to a broken platen belt if the motor moves. Platen belt can be bought though here. MRP provides IT Parts Product Supplies and Services If the motor does not move you most likely have a failing main logic board (called a CMX) MRP provides IT Parts Product Supplies and Services Talk to your supplier about the firmware on the CMX before ordering or it will not work when you get it.

Table mismatch error ibm 6400

Hi

Occasionally you willneed to reload the flash memory in the printer. To do this you will need a PCor laptop, a parallel or serial cable, and the correct flash code file. Thepart number for the flash code file can be found on the configuration printout. If the printer is not functioning and a current copy of the configurationprintout is unavailable you will need to gather some information to enable usto get the correct code for you.
In order to determine the correct flash code for the printer you will need toknow if the printer has any additional interfaces, the part number of thesecurity pal, the model of the printer, the amount of flash memory and draminstalled, and if the customer uses PGL, VGL, or IPDS graphics.
Once you have the correct flash code file you will need to copy it onto thehard drive of the PC you will be using to flash the printer.
Connect your data cable (parallel or serial) from the pc to the printer
On the printer, hold down the Start & Cancel keys while powering on theprinter. Continue to hold both keys down for 5 seconds and then release them.

The default download mode is parallel (Centronics). This is the easiest port toflash the printer through. If you need to change the download port to serial, see the note at the end of this article.

At this point the display should read "Waiting for Program Download".

On the pc, open a Dos window. At the command prompt, change directories to thedirectory in which you stored the flash code file.

At the command prompt type:

filename.exe -pb

where "filename.exe" is the name of the flash code file you areusing.

While the file is being copied into the printers memory the display will showyou the load process and status.

Do NOT interrupt the load process as this can damage the memory and controllerboard.

When the program has finished loading the printer will reset itself.

If after resetting itself the printer displays a Par error, table mismatcherror, or hangs on initialization reload the code again.

Once the code has successfully loaded and the printer has reset itself, poweroff the printer.

Disconnect your cables and reconnect the customers cables.

On certain 475 and 500 lpm models you will need to set the shuttle speed.

On 1400 and 1500 lpm models you will need to set the coil temperature.

On all models you will need to run a test print and adjust the hammer phasing.

NOTE: If you need to flash the printer through the serial port you will needto follow these additional steps.
When you see "Waiting for Program Download" on the LCD press theScroll Up key. The display will now show "Select DownloadPort=Dataproducts".

Press the Scroll Up key to cycle through the available download ports.

When the display shows the download port you would like to use, press the enterkey.

The display should now show "Waiting Download/Port=" and the port youhave selected.

At the Dos prompt type:
MODE COM1:9600,N,8,1,P
filename.exe -pbc1

Continue with the flash download procedure.
