I my market, I see used ones in good shape go for $250. Your market may vary. Of course the condition of your particular guitar is a factor, as well as the market you're in. Check your power supply output voltage. It may be putting out (under) the correct voltage. Also I believe there is a small internal transformer in that pedal that may supply the tube voltage? ... that might be your culprit.

Some hopefully easy fixes : Input jack could be the problem, or connection from the amp to the speaker. Does the speaker hum a bit with the volume up almost all of the way without anything plugged into the unit? If not, check the connection from speaker to amp. If it does hum slightly when u crank the volume, check your input jack -- it might be jacked up (pardon the pun) and you can fix that easily by soldering in a new one.

All i can tell you is that your guitar was the 3764th made of that model in the year 2000. the factory code is a 9, but I was unable to discern where it was constructed based on that code. At least now you know how old it is. . .

First, a great post. So many OPs don't use a photo when it is so helpful. That is a SZ720FM TG, made in Korea between 2004 and 2007, with neck inlays and abalone binding. It is often thought to be a knock-off of a PRS. http://ibanez.wikia.com/wiki/SZ720FM .

I'm unsure what you mean by "bit". Are you perhaps lookng for the retaining nut that screws onto the jack fron the outside to hold it onto the body? If so, they are available in a pack of various sizes from Radio Shack.

Assuming you have the bass eq turned up, the problem will be in the pickup rather than the preamp . It's easiest to just replace it.
